You'll drive cross-functional execution across Product, Policy, Marketing, and Business Development to launch locally relevant initiatives that accelerate user growth and revenue. This role requires navigating a complex and evolving regulatory environment, building relationships with regulators and commercial partners, and leading a local team that positions Coinbase for long-term success in one of the world's largest crypto economies.</p> <p class="mb-2 whitespace-pre-wrap"><strong>What you'll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own Coinbase's business performance in India, with direct accountability for user growth, revenue, and long-term market position, including identifying and building relationships with potential commercial partners and key stakeholders.</li> <li>Drive the country strategy by synthesizing market, regulatory, and competitive analysis into high-impact growth opportunities and translating them into executable plans.</li> <li>Lead cross-functional execution in partnership with Marketing, Business Development, Legal, Compliance, and Policy to deliver India-specific initiatives while managing regulatory risk and compliance requirements.</li> <li>Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to shape and launch locally relevant products that achieve product-market fit within India's regulatory constraints.</li> <li>Shape Coinbase's regulatory and policy positioning in India by engaging directly with regulators, industry bodies, and policy stakeholders to unlock new products and maintain compliance.</li> <li>Build and develop a high-performing local team while serving as Coinbase's senior representative in India across regulators, partners, media, and industry forums.</li> </ul> <p class="mb-2 whitespace-pre-wrap"><strong>Required Skills and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Senior leadership experience (CEO, COO, GM, Country Head, or Founder) scaling a platform, e-commerce, fintech, or trading business in India, with measurable impact on revenue and active users over a minimum of 5 years.</li> <li>Direct experience engaging with Indian financial regulators and policy stakeholders, with demonstrated outcomes balancing constructive relationships and commercial objectives.</li> <li>Track record partnering with Product, Marketing, and Business Development to build, launch, and scale products in regulated environments, including navigation of licensing, compliance, and risk frameworks.</li> <li>Deep understanding of India's regulated financial services ecosystem, including how institutions operate across Compliance, Risk, Finance, Treasury, Audit, and third-party oversight functions.</li> <li>Proven ability to lead in a remote-first, globally matrixed organization, aligning local execution with global standards while advocating for market-specific needs at the executive level.</li> <li>Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.</li> </ul> <p><br>P69848</p> <div id="fortidlp-input-element-parent"></div><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><strong>Pay Transparency Notice:</strong> The target annual <strong>base</strong> salary for this position can range as detailed below.
