At Scout, we value curiosity, teamwork, and a shared commitment to making veterinary care better—for pets, pet parents, and those who care for them.</p> <p><strong>Who You Are</strong></p> <ul> <li>A licensed CVT in Illinois <em>(Preferred)</em></li> <li>3+ years of experience in a veterinary clinical setting</li> <li>Strong technical skills and comfort with urgent/emergent cases</li> <li>Proficient in medical math calculations (drug dosage/unit conversion)</li> <li>Excellent communication and teamwork abilities</li> <li>Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed</li> <li>Experience in emergency or urgent care environments <em>(Preferred)</em></li> <li>Familiarity with cloud-based veterinary software <em>(Preferred)</em></li> <li>Interest in mentoring and leadership development <em>(Preferred)</em></li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform technical procedures including radiology, venipuncture, catheter placement, sedation monitoring, and laboratory testing</li> <li>Assist in triage, patient stabilization, and urgent care treatments</li> <li>Administer medications under veterinarian supervision</li> <li>Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners about care and discharge instructions</li> <li>Maintain accurate medical records and support digital documentation</li> <li>Mentor veterinary assistants and contribute to a positive team culture</li> <li>Uphold Scout’s standards for safety, empathy, and clinical excellence</li> <li>Monthly team meetings</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation &amp; Benefits</strong></p> <p><strong>We offer all the benefits you’ve come to expect – and then some.</strong></p> <ul> <li>$28 – 33/hour</li> <li>Professional growth opportunities</li> <li>CE: If it moves your medicine forward, we’re in!</li> <li>Uniform support</li> <li>401(k) with match after 90 days</li> <li>Paid parental leave</li> <li>Professional development support</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Scout?</strong></p> <p><strong>We care... a lot.
