Key Accountabilities: and Requirements

1)    To recommend / approve credit applications in line with agreed process workflows and policies after highlighting / considering all significant risks. 
2)    To keep track of delinquency levels and ensuring that requisite follow up along with the Collections and Business team is being done to ensure that overdues are regularised in a time bound manner. 
3)    To have a sound knowledge of the Indian Western market especially Mortgages (both Home Loan and Loan Against property) in terms of risks associated with this product. Additional, expertise and knowledge on other location market is also an added advantage. 
4)    To apply knowledge of RBI Regulations/ MAS Guidelines that govern credit dispensation, including the Loan Grading, Provisioning and Asset Classification regulations.  
5)    To have a working knowledge of the general Legal framework in which the bank operates in India and apply the same. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1)    To manage and monitor under writing team of his region, supporting them for meeting the business targets. 
2)    To frame the lending policy framework, processes, and workflow, assist in setting up an error free process across locations. 
3)    To approve credit applications as per DOA judiciously.  
4)    Ensuring that quality of Bank’s exposure in India is acceptable at all times.

 5) Maintaining a NIL delinquent book across region and ensuring zero audit lapses and noting. 
6)    Provide guidance to the team of Mortgage counselors on areas of policy and processes.

 

Experience

Should have 10 + years of Mortgage experience

 

Education/Preferred Qualifications

Preferably a Chartered Accountant or an MBA in Finance

 

Core Competencies

1) Must be based out at Mumbai and having expertise of Pune, Gujarat and other markets and also for cross locational underwriting requirements. 
 2)Good communication skills and writing skills
