Part Time Crew Chief (Janitorial Experience Required)

The Arc of Ocean County is hiring a Part-Time Crew Chief to support and supervise individuals with disabilities participating in a community-based cleaning crew. This role involves traveling throughout Ocean County to various contracted service sites while providing hands-on training, encouragement, and leadership to crew members.

Schedule

This position offers a flexible schedule based on operational and contract needs. Candidates must be available to work at least one weekend shift per week, with evening and weekend flexibility required.

Compensation

$21.75 per hour, paid bi-weekly

Description:

As a Crew Chief, you will oversee a mobile cleaning team responsible for completing janitorial services at multiple community locations. You will play a key role in training, mentoring, and supporting individuals with disabilities while helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality expectations.

This position is hands-on and includes actively working alongside crew members to complete cleaning assignments, maintain service standards, and meet customer needs.

Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is welcomed, though not required.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license in good standing (5 points or fewer) and ability to safely operate a 10–12 passenger vehicle
• Minimum two years of janitorial or custodial experience, including experience with floor stripping and waxing of large surfaces
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to successfully complete all state and federal background screening requirements
