About the role

<p>We're looking for an admitted attorney for an extremely promising&nbsp;<strong>Post-Conviction</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Relief/Crimmigration Attorney</strong> position within a premier law firm with lots of room for growth. This is an opportunity for a dedicated Associate Attorney to gain valuable experience in both criminal and immigration law and further their career with an established firm in the <strong>Rancho Cucamonga </strong>area. As the Post-Conviction Relief Attorney, you will report to the Supervising Attorney. We’re looking to add an attorney with previous litigation and/or appellate experience to join our team and handle post-conviction relief. The Post-Conviction Relief Attorney will manage their caseload, as well as client interaction, and can collaborate with our wonderful Post-Conviction Relief Team of Attorneys and legal assistants.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Advise the client on their legal rights in matters and draw up legal documents about their case</li> <li>Responsible for post-conviction relief cases, including motions to vacate, expungements, motions to reduce, early termination of probation etc.</li> <li>Experience with immigration law is highly desirable, but not required, as this position would have interactions with both criminal and immigration practices</li> <li>Attend motion hearings on behalf of clients and advise clients following each hearing about the best strategies</li> <li>Handle open criminal cases, including arraignments, pre-trials, pleas and sentencing on behalf of other criminal attorneys within the firm</li> <li>Manage court appearances, drafting motions, interviewing clients, and performing legal research</li> <li>Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents</li> <li>Manage workload of cases</li> <li>Provide legal analysis for clients to determine any possible case benefits</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Criminal Defense Experience or Immigration Law Experience</li> <li>Experience handling criminal cases at the state and local level</li> <li>A team player who is open to helping, strategizing, and working with their fellow associates</li> <li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required</li> <li>Interpersonal skills of the highest caliber</li> </ul> <p><strong>Pay Range: $80,000 to $110,000 annual salary</strong></p> <p><strong>Pay ranges can be exceeded depending on experience on a case-by-case basis.</strong></p> <p>Here at The United Firm A.P.C., we offer benefits (medical, dental, and vision insurance), an excellent compensation package, paid parking, paid time off, and more!<strong>&nbsp;</strong>Come work as a Post-Conviction Relief Attorney at a growing firm with opportunities to advance and learn alongside a team of professionals within the legal industry.</p> <p>The United Firm, A.P.C. is an equal employment opportunity employer, and we welcome everyone regardless of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or genetics.
