About the role:
We seek highly dedicated, motivated, and passionate Technical Delivery Managers who can use the right tools to find the best solutions to problems. We embrace the Agile methodology and as part of a scrum team you will play an important role in all aspects of product development--design, development, integration, and testing. And you will share in the pride and satisfaction as your work makes it into production at INVIDI’s clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage highly skilled Software Development team to work along with INVIDI global teams based in Princeton US, Edmonton, Canada and Stockholm, Sweden
- Provides oversight on overall technical product/ solution design, delivery and production support while creating a culture of continuous development that nurtures a world class software development practice
- Work with other SW Development Managers to ensure all deliverables adhere to deadlines and specifications
- Work with Product Managers/Development Teams to estimate the work, agree on code deployments following Agile methodologies
- Provide detailed reports/metrics on regular basis regarding status of the projects/teams
- Work with team members closely to understand their aspirations and mentor them
- Facilitate decision-making, issue resolution, and consensus among team members
- Implement best engineering practices - responsible for design review, code reviews and deployments using DevSecOps
- Set up delivery governance structure - responsibility of planning, execution, and delivery of developments/enhancements as per the committed releases/ project milestones, dates and with expected quality levels
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Software development and delivery
- BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience
- Extensive experience with design and development of complex distributed systems
- Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Experience leading software development teams, managing priorities, setting expectations, and delivering on commitments
- Knowledge of software development/product lifecycle, methodologies (Agile, Kanban, DevOps) and IT roles with good understanding of agile methods and techniques
- Flexible person to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines in a fast-changing environment
- Experienced working with fully distributed teams with strong background in delivery management
- Ability to do deep dive on technical areas and get the best outcome out of technically challenging situations
- Project Management skills including: estimating, scope management, budget management, time management, risk management, change management, issue/conflict resolution, communication management, quality management, testing plans, training plans, team management
- Excellent business communication and time management skills
- Actively participate in relevant internal and external Agile communities
- Good understanding of cloud - based technologies (AWS/GCP) and DevOps
- Coding skills in Java, Kotlin, C++ or Python, database design and SQL, and/or knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming
It would be very good if you have experience in:
- Experience working in a presale’s environment, from solutioning to client communication
- Experience with ad technology
