How You Will Help
- Serve as the primary owner and administrator for all Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O environments (Development, Test/QA, and Production).
- Manage environment lifecycle including provisioning, configuration, upgrades, and decommissioning.
- Oversee platform health, performance monitoring, and capacity planning for all D365 instances.
- Coordinate and execute release deployments using Azure DevOps and Lifecycle Services (LCS).
- Establish and enforce environment governance policies, access controls, and security standards.
- Own and manage the full quality update lifecycle, including scheduling, coordination, and validation of Microsoft-issued quality and version updates across all environments.
- Plan and coordinate regression testing activities following updates or configuration changes, working with functional teams to ensure business process continuity.
- Manage D365 licensing, monitor consumption and entitlements, and optimize licensing costs in alignment with business needs and Microsoft agreements.
- Serve as the primary administrator for D365 F&O security, including design, configuration, and maintenance of security roles and duties.
- Manage user access provisioning and deprovisioning, ensuring least-privilege principles are applied consistently across all environments.
- Conduct periodic access reviews and audits to maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with HR, functional leads, and compliance teams to align security roles with organizational responsibilities and segregation of duties (SoD) requirements.
- Investigate and resolve security-related incidents, including unauthorized access attempts and role conflicts.
- Maintain documentation of security role configurations, user access policies, and audit trails.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Fabric workspaces, capacities, and data pipelines.
- Support integration between D365 Finance & Operations and Fabric analytics environments.
- Manage data lakehouse architecture and ensure data quality, lineage, and governance.
- Monitor and manage costs associated with all D365 F&O and Microsoft Fabric environments, including Azure compute, storage, and service consumption.
- Track and report on environment spend against budget, identifying trends and flagging anomalies for IT leadership.
- Optimize environment configurations to reduce unnecessary resource consumption, including right-sizing sandbox and non-production environments.
- Coordinate with Microsoft and internal procurement teams to manage license true-ups, renewals, and cost forecasting.
- Evaluate and recommend cost-saving opportunities such as environment scheduling, capacity adjustments, and license reallocation.
- Maintain a cost management dashboard or reporting mechanism to provide visibility into ongoing infrastructure expenditure.
- Partner with functional teams, developers, and business stakeholders to support D365 customizations and integrations.
- Act as escalation point for infrastructure-related incidents across supported platforms.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Lead or contribute to platform upgrade and migration projects.
What You Will Bring
- 5–7+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple D365 environment tiers (Development, Test/QA, Production) via LCS and Azure DevOps.
- Proven track record planning and executing quality and version updates, including regression testing coordination across functional teams.
- Experience managing D365 licensing, including entitlement tracking, consumption monitoring, and cost optimization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric, including workspace and capacity management.
- Hands-on experience administering D365 F&O security roles, duties, and user access management.
- Strong understanding of segregation of duties (SoD) principles and access control best practices.
- Experience with Azure cost management tools and ability to monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud infrastructure spend.
- Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure, Active Directory, and cloud security fundamentals.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic, production-sensitive environment.
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain environment — strongly preferred.
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate or equivalent certification.
- Familiarity with D365 dual-write, virtual entities, and Dataverse integrations.
- Experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate) in conjunction with D365.
- Knowledge of ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks.
- Prior experience leading infrastructure teams or mentoring junior administrators
