We are ranked #1 in Global Arbitration Review's prestigious Expert Witness Firm Power Index in 2024 and 2025, and over 90% of our testifying experts are recognized as leading experts by <em>Who's Who Legal</em>.</p> <p>We are a collaborative team of experienced accountants, economists, PhDs, certified business valuators, investment analysts, and industry specialists – all working together to address the most complex litigation and strategic commercial questions no matter the industry or global location.</p> <p><strong><u>RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p> <p>Successful professionals at Secretariat combine exceptional analytical ability, strong quantitative training, clear communication, and creativity. In this role, the Associate will join a growing domestic and international business valuation and damages quantification practice.</p> <ul> <li>Review documents and discovery materials</li> <li>Conduct damages analyses, valuation assignments, and financial statement analysis</li> <li>Support deposition and discovery review</li> <li>Manage data and prepare reports and PowerPoint presentations</li> <li>Contribute to other litigation support activities as needed</li> </ul> <p>The ideal candidate is coachable, intellectually curious, and eager to learn.</p> <p><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></p> <p><strong>Education and Academic Background</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or another analytically rigorous discipline from an accredited college or university</li> <li>Strong preference for candidates who have completed substantive research projects, undergraduate theses, consulting internships, data analytics internships, or similar experiences demonstrating independent thinking and ownership of complex work</li> <li>Strong preference for those pursuing CPA, CFA, CVA or ASA</li> </ul> <p><strong>Technical and Analytical Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Genuine interest/experience in economic consulting, litigation support, valuation, damages analysis, or financial analysis</li> <li>Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with tools such as Stata, R, Python, or SQL</li> <li>Comfort working with large datasets and conducting independent research</li> <li>Familiarity with AI tools and interest in using emerging technologies to improve efficiency and analytical rigor</li> </ul> <p><strong>Professional Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously</li> <li>Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform well under pressure</li> <li>Excellent listening, verbal, written, and presentation skills; fluency in English for business communication is required</li> <li>Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p></p> <p>At Secretariat, we believe in pay transparency and equity. <span data-teams="true">Compensation for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, and location.
