About the role

Our client is looking for a Danish-speaking Collections Officer to join their team in Malta. The role reports directly to the Danish Team Leader and forms part of a team responsible for sales activities, customer onboarding, customer inquiries, and close cooperation with the collections department.

This is a varied role combining customer service, sales, onboarding, and operational support within a multinational banking environment. You will play an important role in delivering high-quality customer experiences while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customers with accurate information regarding the bank’s products, services, and payments
  • Actively generate sales in line with the company’s strategy and guidelines
  • Handle customer inquiries via telephone, live chat, email, and SMS
  • Support onboarding processes, including document verification
  • Ensure full compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Deliver a high level of customer service at all times
  • Work closely with payments and collections departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist with additional customer-related inquiries as required
  • Promote and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation of sales reports
  • Support training and mentoring of new team members
  • Contribute to documenting operational procedures
  • Suggest improvements to systems, processes, and workflows
  • Complete ad hoc tasks assigned by the Head of New Markets

Requirements

  • Fluent Danish and good English (written and spoken)
  • Experience in customer service and sales of financial products
  • Experience with client onboarding and document verification
  • Strong communication skills with a results-driven mindset
  • Detail-oriented with high personal work standards
  • Proactive, able to take initiative, and work independently
  • Strong team player with a customer-focused approach
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
