You'll be joining a team powered by Takealot Group's core values.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>This position reports to the Head of TFS Analytics.</strong></p> <p><strong>Your responsibilities can include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Building and optimising models and reports using support tools i.e. Looker, Looker Studio, Dataform, Branch Dashboards, Weekly reports to inform operational decisions and drive improvement.</li> <li>Creating reports with focus areas for business improvement.</li> <li>Building dashboards to be used by the business for exception management.</li> <li>Identifying important variables and focus areas in the business.</li> <li>Analysing data to answer strategic and operational questions posed by the business.</li> <li>Automating data extraction and report update processes.</li> <li>Provide information to various stakeholders.</li> <li>Data Validation and integrity testing.</li> <li>Data Cleansing and data modelling.</li> <li>Provide information to various stakeholders.</li> <li>Collaborate with TFS managers and Franchise Managers to establish project plans while accounting for the trade-offs between operational practicality and overall performance.</li> <li>Provide significant support to TFS according to weekly goals and targeted metrics.</li> <li>Use weekly and monthly targets to manage day-to-day performance and inform operations for best impact.</li> <li>Regularly review and analyse key metrics in operations to identify root causes and formulate solutions to improve performance.</li> <li>Managing customer, branch, driver, and courier feedback into continuous performance improvement processes.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Technical Skills and Tools:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Have worked with Automation and ETL software.</li> <li>Strong experience in building and optimising SQL scripts.</li> <li>Have a strong understanding of BI fundamentals.</li> <li>Implement version control using GIT.</li> <li>Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.</li> <li>Write technical documentation for APIs and libraries.</li> <li>Implement analytics and tracking features in applications.</li> <li>Design and implement database schemas.</li> <li>Optimize database queries and indexes for performance where needed.</li> <li>Implement error handling and logging mechanisms.</li> <li>Estimate story points and task durations for sprint planning.</li> <li>Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Attributes required:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Solutions-oriented, can-do attitude and high energy.</li> <li>Strong analytical and critical thinking, using data to inform decisions.</li> <li>Ability to identify areas of improvement in current processes.</li> <li>Ability to use logic and common sense to arrive at conclusions.</li> <li>Passion for understanding ambiguous, complex problems and driving high quality, innovative, clean solutions.</li> <li>Highly structured thinker with strong attention to detail.</li> <li>Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Must have exceptional communication skills to help deliver insights to diverse stakeholders.</li> <li>Detail oriented, outcome and process focused.</li> <li>Willingness to learn and personal desire to keep up to date with technology and process.</li> <li>Comfortable with change and excellent team player.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Engineering, Information Systems, BCom Computer Science or similar degree and 3 years experience in a BI, Data, Engineering role within a fast-paced, product-led, and growth-focused organisation, playing a key role in data gathering, data analysis and helping the team make data based decisions.</li> <li>In the event the candidate does not have a Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Engineering, Information Systems, BCom Computer Science or similar then a relevant Higher Certificate and 6 years relevant experience in a BI, Data, Engineering role within a fast-paced, product-led, and growth-focused organisation, playing a key role in data gathering, data analysis and helping the team make data based decisions.</li> <li>Strong hands-on experience with SQL, ETL pipelines, Google BigQuery, AWS, Looker Studio, and Python.</li> <li>Automation - Cron Scheduling (Custom or 3rd party software scheduling).</li> <li>High level of proficiency with MS Office packages with proven advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets, Docs &amp; Slides.</li> <li>Experience with large datasets and optimisation on digital platforms.</li> <li>Retail or e-commerce and Supply Chain industry experience is beneficial.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Be part of the extraordinary.
