Data & Analytics Engineer / Developer

For our client, a leading global provider of end-to-end software and cloud technology solutions, we are looking for an experienced Data & Analytics Engineer / Developer, with a primary focus on designing, building and maintaining semantic models, as well as supporting related analytics and reporting capabilities. Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable analytics solutions. Leverage strong data modeling, SQL, DAX, and BI skills to deliver trusted data products that enable better business decisions.

This is a full-time remote/hybrid contract role. We preferably seek candidates based in Serbia or Poland, while also considering candidates across the EMEA region.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and maintain dimensional data models, semantic models, and analytical datasets (facts and dimensions)

• Develop and optimize Power BI paginated reports, dashboards, Apps, KPIs, and DAX calculations

• Translate business requirements into scalable analytics solutions

• Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure reliable and efficient data pipelines

• Monitor and improve data quality, model performance, and reporting reliability

• Implement data governance, security, and Row-Level Security (RLS) requirements

• Support self-service analytics by providing trusted and governed data assets

• Maintain technical documentation and analytics standards

• Act as the technical contact point for any technical implementation on the data modelling and visualizations

• Exchange experience and work closely together with D&A Team members and other teams

• Experienced working in a global team and understanding cultural differences

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field

• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, or Data Warehousing

• Strong experience with dimensional data modeling and data warehousing concepts

• Advanced SQL and DAX skills

• Experience with Power BI Semantic Models, Azure Analysis Services, or similar technologies

• Experience developing enterprise dashboards and reporting solutions

• Understanding of data governance, security, and access control concepts

Preferred Certifications

• Experience with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, or similar cloud technologies

• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and Agile delivery practices

• Knowledge of self-service analytics and modern Lakehouse architectures
