This role combines <strong>hands</strong>‑<strong>on technical expertise</strong> with <strong>team leadership and stakeholder engagement</strong>.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will design scalable Power BI solutions, define data models and reporting standards, mentor a team of analysts, and translate complex business requirements into actionable insights that drive decision‑making across the organization.</p> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Leadership &amp; People Management</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts and BI developers, including task prioritization, quality reviews, and skill development.</li> <li>Establish best practices for Power BI development, data modeling, and visualization standards.</li> <li>Conduct design reviews and ensure adherence to performance, scalability, and governance guidelines.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Power BI &amp; Analytics Delivery</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Own <strong>end</strong>‑<strong>to</strong>‑<strong>end Power BI solution delivery</strong>, including requirement analysis, data modeling, report/dashboard development, testing, and deployment.</li> <li>Design and optimize <strong>semantic models</strong>, star schemas, and calculated measures using <strong>DAX</strong>.</li> <li>Develop interactive dashboards and self‑service BI solutions tailored to executive, operational, and functional audiences.</li> <li>Ensure reports and dashboards are optimized for performance, refresh efficiency, and usability.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Data Engineering &amp; Integration</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Work closely with data engineering teams to design and optimize <strong>ETL/ELT processes</strong> feeding Power BI datasets.</li> <li>Leverage <strong>SQL</strong> for data extraction, transformation, validation, and performance tuning.</li> <li>Participate in data architecture discussions involving data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms.</li> <li>Support integration with cloud or on‑prem data platforms as needed.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Stakeholder &amp; Business Collaboration</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and translate reporting and analytics requirements into technical solutions.</li> <li>Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders by providing insights, trends, and recommendations based on data.</li> <li>Drive adoption of data‑driven decision‑making across departments.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Data Quality, Governance &amp; Security</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Ensure high standards for <strong>data quality, accuracy, validation, and reconciliation</strong> in all analytics outputs.</li> <li>Implement and maintain data governance, security, and access controls within Power BI.</li> <li>Support audit, compliance, and documentation requirements for enterprise reporting.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Required Skills &amp; Experience</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Strong hands‑on expertise in <strong>Power BI</strong>, including: <ul> <li>DAX (advanced calculations, performance optimization)</li> <li>Power Query / M</li> <li>Data modeling and star schema design</li> </ul> </li> <li>Strong <strong>SQL</strong> skills with experience querying and optimizing large datasets.</li> <li>Solid understanding of <strong>data warehousing concepts</strong> (facts, dimensions, slowly changing dimensions).</li> <li>Experience working with large‑scale enterprise data and multiple source systems.</li> <li>Proven ability to lead teams and deliver analytics solutions end‑to‑</li> <li>Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and attention to detail.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain insights to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Preferred / Nice</strong>‑<strong>to</strong>‑<strong>Have Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Experience with <strong>cloud data platforms</strong> (e.g., Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Big Query, or similar).</li> <li>Exposure to data integration or orchestration tools.</li> <li>Experience supporting executive‑level and operational dashboards.</li> <li>Power BI, Microsoft, or Data Analytics certifications.</li> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
