<h2><strong>About the Role</strong></h2>
<p>We’re hiring a <strong>Data Center Security Assurance Manager</strong> to lead structured, evidence-based assessments across Nscale’s owned data centers and colocation sites, identify physical security gaps, and drive remediation through to validated closure.</p>
<p>This role sits within the physical security function and partners closely with site teams, colocation providers, regional managers, and the <strong>VP of Physical Security</strong>. You will also work in support of customer audit activity, helping sites prepare for visits and serving as the on-site physical security subject matter expert when required.</p>
<p>Your work will directly strengthen audit readiness across the estate by ensuring controls are properly assessed, documented, and improved. This is a high-impact role for someone who combines strong physical security judgment with rigorous reporting and follow-through, helping translate findings into meaningful, measurable remediation.</p>
<h2><strong>What you'll be doing</strong></h2>
<p><strong>Pre-Audit Assessment</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Review</strong> customer and contractual physical security requirements and map them against controls at each relevant site.</li>
<li><strong>Conduct</strong> onsite readiness assessments across owned data centers and colocation facilities.</li>
<li><strong>Evaluate</strong> perimeter security, access control, CCTV coverage and retention, visitor and escort management, environmental controls, and operational procedures.</li>
<li><strong>Identify</strong> control gaps and <strong>prioritize</strong> findings based on risk.</li>
<li><strong>Produce</strong> clear, actionable findings that site teams and colocation providers can remediate without ambiguity.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Audit Reporting & Evidence Management</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Write</strong> structured, evidence-based audit reports for each assessment.</li>
<li><strong>Document</strong> the control observed, gap identified, risk rating, and specific remediation required.</li>
<li><strong>Maintain</strong> a site-level evidence library that is current, complete, and audit-ready at all times.</li>
<li><strong>Ensure</strong> reporting is precise, specific, and consistent across different sites.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Remediation & Closure</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Track</strong> remediation progress against each finding ahead of customer audits.</li>
<li><strong>Validate</strong> closure with appropriate evidence before findings are considered complete.</li>
<li><strong>Escalate</strong> unresolved or systemic issues to the <strong>VP of Physical Security</strong> and relevant regional managers.</li>
<li><strong>Feed</strong> confirmed findings back into the Policy & Standards function to improve controls and documentation.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Customer Audit Support</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Support</strong> customer audits as the on-site physical security subject matter expert when required.</li>
<li><strong>Brief</strong> site teams and colocation contacts ahead of customer visits on what to expect.</li>
<li><strong>Guide</strong> stakeholders on how to present physical security controls and remediation evidence effectively.</li>
<li><strong>Help</strong> ensure sites are prepared for enterprise customer scrutiny and audit activity.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Travel & Site Coverage</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Travel</strong> regularly to data centers and colocation sites to perform in-person assessments.</li>
<li><strong>Apply</strong> a consistent assurance approach across owned and provider-operated environments.</li>
<li><strong>Partner</strong> with internal and external stakeholders to assess controls across shared and site-specific responsibilities.</li>
</ul>
<h2><strong>About You</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li><strong>7+ years</strong> in physical security with demonstrated audit or assurance work in data center, critical infrastructure, or enterprise environments</li>
<li>Experience conducting structured physical security assessments and rating risk consistently across sites</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of data center physical security controls, including layered access control, CCTV standards, man-trap and tailgating controls, visitor management, and environmental monitoring</li>
<li>Understanding of control ownership differences between Nscale-operated environments and colocation provider environments</li>
<li>Experience participating in customer audits, either representing the audited party or conducting the audit</li>
<li>Ability to produce structured, precise, and specific audit reports</li>
<li>Familiarity with physical security requirements within <strong>ISO 27001</strong>, <strong>SOC 2</strong>, <strong>NIST 800-53</strong>, or equivalent frameworks</li>
<li>Willingness and ability to travel regularly to data centers and colocation sites</li>
<li>Preferred background in colocation or hyperscale data center environments</li>
<li>Preferred familiarity with access control platforms, CCTV systems, intrusion detection, audit checklists or assurance frameworks, and <strong>ASIS</strong> certifications such as <strong>CPP</strong> or <strong>PSP</strong></li>

<p>The range below reflects the base salary for the position. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related factors such as skill set, experience, education, and location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for bonus, equity, and/or commission programs. Nscale may offer a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, flexible paid time off, parental leave, and retirement plan participation.</p>
