About the role


On-Site Responsibilities:

  • Observations:
    • Record weekly site observations.
    • Assist with site design coordination queries.
    • Attend site inspections of contractor installations.
    • Raise and review site observations, field issues, and non-conformances with Owners, Contractors, OFCI vendors, etc.
  • Site Inspections:
    • Review equipment deliveries as requested.
    • Observe contractor benchmarks, mock-ups, and samples.
    • Attend QA/QC factory visits for vendor equipment inspection.
    • Document and report findings from factory visits and inspections.
    • Record and track observations and non-conformance issues raised during factory inspections.
  • Testing:
    • Attend all witness testing, including all L1 – L5 commissioning (Cx) tests.
  • Meeting Attendance:
    • Participate in site design coordination workshops, OFCI meetings, commissioning meetings, and BIM coordination.
  • Documentation Support:
    • Review and answer queries on-site with the goal of reducing RFIs from the contractor.
    • Act as A/E POC for the Owner on discipline-specific design and installation questions.



  • 8+ years of relevant experience in the mechanical or electrical field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus.
  • Proficient in design and construction document management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction administration and documentation.
  • Capable of design document review and coordination across multiple disciplines.
  • Experience in interpreting and adapting specifications appropriately.
  • Solid understanding of building, fire, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical codes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with Owners, A/E consultants, and contractor staff.
  • Ability to work independently in large-scale construction environments.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities from the Owner’s construction management team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • PMP or similar project management certification (preferred).
  • LEED certification (a plus).
  • Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to drive between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction-related noise, vibrations, and odors.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and site personnel, and maintain situational awareness in high-activity environments.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety vests, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots, is required.
  • Must have sufficient visual acuity to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.
