About the Role:

In this role, you will lead your team to deliver a world-class customer experience by ensuring the facilities operate securely and without interruption. Your responsibilities will include managing site logistics, security, general maintenance outside of technical zones, and ensuring the internal and external presentation of the facilities is top-notch. Additionally, you will handle escalations and ad hoc business priorities promptly, ensuring all services meet high standards.

Other duties include:

  • Oversee daily operations of Data Centre facilities, ensuring uninterrupted service and effective risk management.
  • Manage customer interactions, service provider relations, and the onboarding of clients, contractors, and staff.
  • Assist in procurement activities, maintenance contracts, and obtaining necessary certifications for facility compliance.
  • Lead, mentor and guide facilities operations team, contributing to their development and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to and manage the site expense budget while supporting broader financial and operational objectives.

About you:

This role suits someone with strong experience in facilities and people management, ideally within a critical environment. A technical background is highly desirable given the nature of the data centre industry.

The focus of the role is on property and building maintenance, including all soft services and non-technical assets across the site. You’ll work closely with the technical services team, who manage the core operational infrastructure. While a technical background is beneficial, the role itself is primarily centred on facilities and property management.

  • Experience in Facilities Management and leading teams, ideally within a critical or technical environment
  • Proven ability to build and lead teams, driving culture, accountability, and performance
  • Motivated by the opportunity to establish processes and standards in a growing environment
  • Confident managing site operations, logistics, and presentation at scale
  • Strong stakeholder skills across contractors, vendors, and internal teams
  • Good understanding of safety, compliance, and physical security requirements
  • Proactive and hands-on, with a focus on ownership and continuous improvement

Essential:

Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
