We are looking for self-starters that are the world’s best in their field, who can innovate from a deep understanding of the fundamentals, and who share our values of unwavering truth seeking and integrity, humility, curiosity, and relentless determination.</p> <h1>Role Description</h1> <p>We are seeking an exceptional <strong>Data Collection Operator</strong> to operate robots through advanced data collection systems and contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI-driven robotics. In this role, you will work closely with our robotics and AI teams to collect high-quality motion and behavior data that trains our robots to perform complex tasks in dynamic environments.</p> <p>In this role you will:</p> <ul> <li>Operate robots using advanced data collection systems.</li> <li>Guide robots through designated motions, manipulation tasks, and workflows to collect high-quality demonstration data.</li> <li>Upload, validate, and organize collected data used for training AI models.</li> <li>Identify, troubleshoot, and report operational issues during data collection.</li> <li>Follow robot bring-up, calibration, and shutdown procedures to ensure safe, reliable operations.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with AI, perception, and controls engineers to refine teleoperation pipelines and improve robot behaviors.</li> <li>Maintain a safe, efficient, and organized work environment throughout data collection and operations.</li> </ul> <h1>Qualifications</h1> <p><em>Must-have:</em></p> <ul> <li>Excellent physical coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail.</li> <li>Comfortable using data collection equipment for extended periods of time without loss of focus.</li> <li>Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for up to 8+ hours per day.</li> <li>Quick learner who can master new physical tasks and workflows efficiently.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.</li> <li>Comfortable providing and receiving constructive feedback.</li> <li>Passion for robotics, AI, and emerging technologies.</li> </ul> <p><em>Nice-to-have:</em></p> <ul> <li>Experience operating teleoperation systems, humanoid robots, or robotic manipulators.</li> <li>Familiarity with VR interfaces, haptic control devices, or motion tracking systems.</li> <li>Understanding of robot kinematics, motion planning, or control systems.</li> <li>Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware and software during teleoperation.</li> <li>Enthusiasm for contributing to the development and scaling of next-generation robotic systems.</li> </ul>
