YOUR ROLE: 
As a data engineer, you define solutions for the use, extraction and manipulation of data - driven by the balanced combination of business needs and consumer preferences. You work in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to provide the data needed, in the optimal format for making critical, real-time decision. 
 
 
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
Write queries and design data workflows to facilitate campaign development, deployment and reporting. 
Establish quality control measures to ensure accuracy of data and reports 
Assist in the creation and documentation of database processes and business rules 
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in data accessibility and reporting as driven by the business needs 
Participate in internal and client meetings to provide data strategy recommendations, knowledge and expertise 
Work to automate & continuously optimize data processes and reports 
 
 
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 
 
Experience writing complex SQL statements and mapping relational database structure 
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and first-rate interpersonal skills at all levels 
Strong experience working with an enterprise campaign management solutions such as Adobe Campaign, Unica, Eloqua, Marketo and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud. 
Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Domo, QlikView, GoodData, Looker, etc., is a plus 
Experience R, Python or other analytical platforms is a plus 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams both within and between organizations, including the ability to explain complex processes to a non-technical person 
Ability to be self-directed, highly motivated and have fun while working hard in a fast-paced environment 
Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results 
Ability to stay abreast and inform internal teams of current best practices and trends in email design and development 
Understanding of conditional formatting and/or dynamic content requirements a plus 
 
 
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 
 
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technology field 
3-5 years of experience in a data engineering or advanced analytics role 
Strong drive to improve and learn new skills 
Any data-related certifications, such as SQL, SAS, etc., are an advantage
