You switch easily between scripting and structured programming in typed programming languages, and you’re familiar with software engineering, cloud, provisioning, streaming, and automation. What You’ll Be Doing To Make Organizations Data-Driven

You will be responsible for implementing foundational data systems and developing cloud infrastructure to store, transform, and process data at scale. Always with security, reliability, and future growth in mind.

You use your communication skills as much as your technical skills. You explain your design choices, align stakeholders, and help client teams make confident and informed decisions about their data landscape. You will be surrounded by experts from diverse fields and learn from different environments and industries. It’s not always easy, but it is always rewarding.

You will work on projects of varying lengths. Some are three weeks, some are one year, most are in between. Every project is different, as is every client. You'll work in mixed teams of Xebians and client engineers, contributing directly to the backbone that powers data products.

What are we looking for

The Data Engineer role is a senior position integral to our teams, so we ask for at least 4 years of relevant work experience. That said, we care more about impact than years. If you have unique achievements, like contributing to open-source projects or founding your own startup, we encourage you to apply, no matter your experience level.

Technical skills matter, but so does the culture we create together. We’re looking for like-minded people who genuinely enjoy taking ownership, sharing knowledge, and contributing in an environment where everyone can feel welcome, included, and supported.
