What You’ll Build

In this role, you’ll create scalable, end-to-end Data Products that serve as the data foundation for transformative business decisions including AI scenarios. Moving beyond conventional reporting, you will develop robust data pipelines and models using a modern stack including Python, Databricks, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP HANA Cloud, and Azure Data Lake Storage.

You’ll be responsible for delivering the full lifecycle of data engineering from raw ingestion to consumption, implementing best-practice data architectures to ensure solutions are production-grade, future-ready, and scalable.

Your work will empower teams with faster, smarter insights, bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution. By transforming complex data challenges into accessible, high-performance solutions, you’ll help drive meaningful outcomes.

As a senior team member, you will proactively drive projects forward, fostering collaboration with stakeholders and team members to ensure seamless execution and alignment with business objectives. Your proactive approach will uncover inefficiencies and create space for innovation, introducing automation and strategic enhancements that maximize value for our internal customers.

You will provide data foundation for new AI scenarios and test and provide feedback to AI standard functionality and new developed AI Agent scenarios

 

What You Bring

Education & Professional Background

  • Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven track record in analytical or data engineering roles, ideally within consulting or development environments.
  • Methodology: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is highly desirable.
  • Communication: Ability to build trust and clarity across diverse teams, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

 

Technical Competencies

  • Core Languages: Proficiency in Python or SQL ;
  • Data Products: Experience in designing and implementing scalable Data Products (end-to-end lifecycle from ingestion to consumption).
  • Analytical Data Modelling with 3+ years technical expertise: Strong background in analytical data modeling, data architectures, and building robust data pipelines for large datasets.
  • Database Skills: Advanced knowledge of SQL database modelling, specifically within SAP HANA or equivalent high-performance databases.
  • DevOps & Automation: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and version control (Git) for production-grade delivery.
  • Platforms & Tools: Hands-on experience with:
    • SAP Business Data Cloud
    • SAP HANA Cloud
    • Databricks
    • Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) is a plus
