Our inclusive and forward-thinking culture encourages creativity, collaboration, and professional growth.</p> <h3><strong>What You Will Do</strong></h3> <p>As a <strong>Senior Data Scientist</strong> <strong>specializing in the marketing domain,</strong> you will lead and conduct ambitious projects aimed at transforming clients through data. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Leading transformational projects:</strong> spearheading ambitious projects that utilize data to transform our clients’ operations and strategies.</li> <li><strong>Developing data science solutions:</strong> creating innovative data science products and solutions for both clients and our internal data science team.</li> <li><strong>Applying data science in marketing contexts:</strong> leveraging data science methodologies to enhance <strong>marketing analytics, customer segmentation, attribution modeling, and campaign optimization</strong>.&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Building client relationships:</strong> collaborating closely with your Consulting counterpart to understand client needs and strengthen relationships.</li> <li><strong>Upskilling the team:</strong> contributing to the development of our data science team by sharing knowledge, mentoring junior Data Scientists, and promoting our work within other data departments.</li> <li><strong>Ensuring quality deliverables:</strong> caring for team morale and ensuring that all missions are delivered to a high standard, providing feedback and support to less experienced team members.</li> <li><strong>Optimising code:</strong> writing highly optimized code to advance Artefact’s internal toolbox and knowledge base.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What you will learn with us:</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Real-World impact:</strong> deliver impactful projects by developing end-to-end machine learning pipelines to solve real-world problems across various industries, including marketing and customer intelligence.&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Collaborative solutions:</strong> work in feature teams alongside other data scientists, ML engineers, data engineers, software engineers, and product owners to build complex solutions.</li> <li><strong>Software engineering improvement:</strong> enhance your software engineering skills by applying ML Ops best practices while working with machine learning teams.</li> <li><strong>Expertise development:</strong> become an expert in one of our data science practices: Time Series Forecasting, MLOps, NLP, Computer Vision, Optimization, or Customer Intelligence, including marketing analytics, attribution modeling, and incrementality testing.</li> <li><strong>Algorithm discovery:</strong> discover state-of-the-art algorithms and test them on real-world data during client projects.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Who You Are</strong></h3> <p>We’re seeking someone who has:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Educational background:</strong> a completed Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, machine learning, mathematics, or related subjects).</li> <li><strong>Hands-On experience:</strong> at least 2-3 years of experience in data science, analytics, or consulting, preferably within a marketing or digital context.</li> <li><strong>Marketing or digital context experience:</strong> knowledge of various marketing channels and platforms, including their roles within the media mix is considered a plus.&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Technical skills:</strong> strong knowledge of data processing, algorithms, and data architecture, along with proficiency in tools like Python, SQL, and R.</li> <li><strong>Analytical mindset:</strong> a passion for working with data to derive actionable insights and solve complex problems.</li> <li><strong>Communication skills:</strong> excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to discuss both technical and non-technical topics with clients and team members.</li> <li><strong>Curiosity and passion:</strong> a genuine interest in continuous learning and exploring new technologies and tools in data and AI.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What We Offer</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Competitive compensation aligned with your profile and experience.</li> <li>Hands-on exposure to real client challenges from day one, working alongside experienced strategy and data/AI practitioners.</li> <li>Regular training in both strategy consulting methodologies and AI/data capabilities, combined with international exposure across Artefact's global network.</li> <li>A collaborative, entrepreneurial culture of doers — innovative, fast-moving, and committed to supporting each other's growth.</li> </ul> <p><em>This position is based in Brussels, with opportunities to collaborate on projects worldwide.</em></p> <p><strong>At Artefact Belgium, we value curiosity, motivation, and potential above all else.
