Senior DBA (SQL)

<p>BOLD seeks a senior professional to provide support for various MS SQL databases. This person will perform database structure and software maintenance and implementations, support database tuning and consultation, and assist with database configuration implementation. The person will also participate in incident, change, and problem-management activities</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>ABOUT THIS TEAM</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Infrastructure team provides various services including automation, observability, cloud/server/network architectures, CICD, infrastructure as code, database administration, incident management, vendor management, security and compliance, and acquiring new skills. These services help to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and ensure fast and reliable application releases while maintaining security and compliance. TechOps help teams monitor applications and infrastructure, create resilient infrastructure, identify and resolve IT service issues, manage vendors, and ensure cloud security and compliance. The team also focuses on continuous learning and implementing new technologies to provide better value to the organization.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO</strong></p> <ul> <li><span data-contrast="none">Enhancing the scalability and performance of existing database architecture.</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Protecting data by developing data security and restoration policies, procedures, and controls.</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Conducting diagnostic tests and evaluating performance metrics.</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Developing procedures to ensure data integrity and quality.</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Performing database maintenance, migration, and upgrading hardware and software.</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Documenting processes and complying with best practices in database management.</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>WHAT YOU’LL NEED</strong></p> <ul> <li><span data-contrast="none">Strong understanding of SQL Server (IaaS and PaaS based on Azure) and on-premise SQL Server setup.</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Strong understanding of Database concepts, SQL Architecture</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Automation experience with Powershell or Python</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Hands-on experience in Unix/Linux command line options.</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Experience on DB migrations, maintenance and optimization strategies</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Experience in implementing operational automation using automation tools / scripts.</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics.</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server-related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking &amp; deadlocking</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Experience with data modelling, database architecture and design</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for Azuer PAAS,MSSQL Server</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Capacity Planning (Backup Share, Disk, CPU, Memory etc)</span></li> <li><span data-contrast="none">Able to manage demanding stakeholders on technical solutions and align architects.</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE-</strong></p> <ul> <li>Sr. DBA - 4.5 years+</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong data-stringify-type="bold">About Bold</strong><br><strong>We Transform Work Lives</strong><br>As an established global organization, BOLD helps people find jobs.
