Deputy Compliance Officer

<p><strong data-renderer-mark="true">The Compliance team</strong> is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs to mitigate legal and regulatory risks, ensuring that an organisation adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.<br><br></p> <p><strong>Challenges that await you:</strong></p> <ul> <li data-section-id="yaf8w0" data-start="0" data-end="192"> <p>Support the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the compliance framework in Colombia, helping establish strong regulatory foundations for Plata's operations.</p> </li> <li data-section-id="ws64nv" data-start="194" data-end="382"> <p>Assist in managing relationships with regulators and support efforts to ensure Plata Card complies with all applicable local laws and global standards while enabling business innovation.</p> </li> <li data-section-id="16k4cd" data-start="384" data-end="551"> <p>Help embed compliance into the company’s culture, processes, and decision-making by collaborating cross-functionally with product, risk, operations, and other teams.</p> </li> <li data-section-id="1tj3ky1" data-start="553" data-end="735" data-is-last-node=""> <p>Contribute to addressing regulatory complexity and operational challenges by supporting the development of scalable policies, procedures, and controls for a fast-paced environment.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>What makes you a great fit:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 7 years of progressive regulatory compliance experience, ideally in fintech, banking, or other tech-driven financial services with at least 4 years in a leadership role.</li> <li data-start="348" data-end="498"> <p data-start="350" data-end="498">You have <strong data-start="359" data-end="426">deep knowledge of local and international financial regulations</strong>, and know how to apply them pragmatically in a high-growth environment.</p> </li> <li data-start="502" data-end="628"> <p data-start="504" data-end="628">You’ve led or helped build <strong data-start="531" data-end="567">compliance programs from scratch</strong>, ideally in fintech, banking, or other regulated industries.</p> </li> <li data-start="630" data-end="761"> <p data-start="632" data-end="761">You're <strong data-start="639" data-end="669">comfortable with ambiguity</strong> and thrive in fast-paced, ever-evolving environments.
