Deputy Director of Finance Operations

About the Role

Talarico for Texas is hiring a Deputy Director of Finance Operations to join James Talarico’s US Senate campaign. This is a full-time, paid position perfect for someone interested in starting their career in Democratic campaigns.

About You

• Dedicated to Democratic politics and ready to help elect James Talarico to the US Senate
• Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle more than one project at once, along with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with a team under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and management of finance systems and processes
• Supervision and management of Finance Associates, Finance Coordinator, and Call Time Manager
• Manage and build fundraising events across Texas
• Work with Finance Director to develop major donor programming
• Work with the Finance Director to grow and scale the campaign’s fundraising operation in accordance with the finance plan.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Two cycles of campaign experience preferred but not necessary
• Ties to Texas or knowledge of Texas politics and labor organizations preferred but not required
• Interest in and knowledge of Democratic politics
• Exceptional writing skills with strong attention to accuracy and detail
• Familiarity with GSuite tools, Microsoft tools, Numero, and NGP
• Access to reliable transportation

Benefits

Reports to: Finance Director

Location: Austin, Texas (statewide travel required)

Salary: $9,000 per month
