Deputy Head of Finance Compliance

If you have deep experience in finance compliance, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to lead complex reporting cycles across international entities, Genesis is seeking a Deputy Head of Finance Compliance to drive accuracy, structure, and excellence in our financial operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee preparation of standalone financial statements for entities operating in multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
- Review, coordinate, and supervise the preparation and submission of financial information for external stakeholders (auditors, banks, directors, regulators).
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data, reconciliations, and supporting documentation prepared for tax filings, VAT returns, and other regulatory submissions.
- Act as the main contact point for external auditors, managing communication, prioritizing requests, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality documentation.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the finance compliance team, including workload allocation, performance oversight, and development of team members’ technical expertise.
- Strengthen and optimize internal compliance processes, ensuring consistency, transparency, and timely execution across all reporting cycles.
- Participate in and oversee cross-functional finance projects (restructuring, transfer pricing workflows, VAT setup for new entities, automation initiatives).
Key Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:
- BA/BS or MA/MS degree in economics, business, finance, or a related field.
- Advanced technical knowledge and at least 3–5 years of experience in audit, accounting, financial analysis, or similar fields; experience in leading or supervising a team is a strong advantage.
- Strong proficiency with spreadsheet and presentation software; experience in analytical competitions (Business Diving, Changellenge, etc.) is a plus.
- Progress toward professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is highly desirable.
- Upper-Intermediate or Advanced English proficiency (oral and written); international certificates (IELTS, TOEFL) are a plus.
- Structured thinking with the ability to draw data-driven business conclusions and provide clear financial recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to justify financial insights to stakeholders.
- Proactive, results-oriented mindset with strong ownership, independence, and the ability to manage multiple priorities for both self and team under tight deadlines.
