A specialist SEN school in Southwark is looking for a creative and hands-on Design and Technology (DT) SEN Teacher to teach DT to students with a range of special educational needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a DT specialist with a passion for inclusive education.
Position: Design and Technology SEN Teacher
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Southwark

The school provides an innovative and supportive learning environment for students with SEN, including sensory processing disorders and physical disabilities. The DT department is well-resourced, offering students practical and engaging learning experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Teach DT, focusing on developing practical skills and creativity in students with SEN.
- Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Work collaboratively with the SENCo and support staff to develop IEPs.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a safe and supportive learning environment, using specialised equipment and resources when needed.
Experience and Qualifications:
- QTS with a specialism in Design and Technology.
- Experience working with SEN students, particularly those with sensory or physical disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of DT curriculum and practical teaching methods.
- A clear DBS check.
