Developer Advocate (AIR)

This platform will serve as the execution and governance layer for AI-driven development, deeply integrated with developer tools and designed to work across teams, products, and environments. This is a long-term strategic investment for JetBrains and a key pillar of our vision for the future of software development.</p> <p>The Air team is looking for a Developer Advocate to help developers understand, adopt, and shape the future of agentic development.</p> <p>In this role, you will represent Air in the developer community. You’ll create technical content, demonstrate real-world use cases, engage with developers online and in person, and bring community feedback directly to the product team.</p> <p>You’ll help developers understand how to use agents effectively in their workflows, while also helping the Air team learn how developers actually want to build with them.</p> <p>This role sits at the intersection of developer experience, content, and community.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>Create technical content</p> <ul> <li>Produce videos, demos, and written guides that showcase real-world Air workflows.</li> <li>Explore agent-driven development scenarios and share practical experiments.</li> <li>Build example projects and tutorials.</li> </ul> <p>Engage with the developer community</p> <ul> <li>Participate in conversations on X, Reddit, and other developer platforms.</li> <li>Answer technical questions and help developers get started with Air.</li> <li>Share updates and insights from the Air team.</li> </ul> <p>Represent Air publicly</p> <ul> <li>Speak at developer conferences and events.</li> <li>Host Air community meetups and workshops.</li> <li>Build relationships with developer communities and open-source projects.</li> </ul> <p>Collaborate with the product team</p> <ul> <li>Share insights and feedback from the developer community.</li> <li>Help identify friction points and opportunities for improvement.</li> <li>Contribute to product messaging and developer documentation</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience building software and working with modern developer tools.</li> <li>Familiarity with AI-assisted or agentic development workflows.</li> <li>The ability to explain complex technical topics clearly.</li> <li>Experience creating technical content, including videos, articles, and demos.</li> <li>An existing presence or reputation in the developer community.</li> <li>Comfort engaging publicly and speaking at events.</li> <li>Curiosity about new development workflows and emerging tools.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we offer</strong></p> <ul> <li>The opportunity to help shape Air, JetBrains’ new platform for agentic development.</li> <li>A chance to influence how developers build software with AI agents.</li> <li>Support from a team that values autonomy and experimentation.</li> <li>The opportunity to grow a global presence as a voice in the emerging agentic development ecosystem.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><em>This range reflects the employer’s good-faith estimate of the base salary it reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of posting.
