<p><span data-contrast="auto">Rockstar is seeking a talented Lead Developer Advocate to support our Creator Platform team, which includes the FiveM and RedM multiplayer modification platforms. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">In this role, you will focus on improving the developer experience for our creators, including translating complex technical concepts into clear, accessible guides, tutorials, and API references to empower our worldwide community of creators and server owners to get the most out of our Creator Platforms.</span></p>
<p>This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. </p>
<h4><strong>WHAT WE DO</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">The Rockstar Games Creator Platform Team deliver a technology platform that enables players to experience community created content on fully customized dedicated servers where creators can develop their own game modes and other modifications in a variety of scripting languages.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="none">We provide a curated digital storefront, the Cfx Marketplace, where talented </span><span data-contrast="none">GTAV and RDR2 </span><span data-contrast="none">creators can share and sell</span><span data-contrast="none"> custom </span><span data-contrast="none">scripts, </span><span data-contrast="none">assets</span><span data-contrast="none">, and more.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">We produce developer documentation, tutorials, and learning resources that help our creator community understand our platform capabilities, APIs, and best practices.</span></li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Evangelize the use of our Creator Platform tools and technology to ensure new and existing creators have a clear path to success on FiveM and RedM.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Advocate for the ongoing improvement of our developer experience through prioritized feedback from the creator community and our Developer Relations. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Support the development of developer-oriented programs to grow the next generation of creators on our Platforms.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Drive the maturity of our Developer Experience, including clear and comprehensive developer documentation, getting-started guides, tutorials, how-to articles, and API references for the FiveM and RedM platforms.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Create step-by-step guides and templates that teach developers and creators how to build scripts, game modes, maps, props, and other content.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Collaborate closely with Creator Platform engineering teams to understand new features, platform changes, and technical details, and translate them into creator-facing changelogs, release notes, and migration guides for Platform updates.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Review and improve existing developer documentation for clarity, accuracy, and completeness, keeping it up to date as our Creator Platforms evolve.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
</ul>
<h4><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></h4>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">6+ years of experience in technical writing, developer documentation, or a related role, ideally in the gaming or software development industry.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, concise, and well-structured written content.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Lua, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or similar).</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience working with documentation tooling and platforms (e.g., Markdown, static site generators, wikis, or docs-as-code workflows).</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong technical comprehension, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies, APIs, and developer tools.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Excellent writing and editing skills, with experience producing tutorials, API references, or developer guides.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="none">Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Product Management, Developer Relations, and Community teams to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Comfort working with version control systems (e.g., Git) and contributing to documentation repositories.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">A user-focused mindset, always considering the developer or creator audience when producing content.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":276}"> </span></li>

<p>Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
