Senior Developer & Technical Project Manager

<p><strong>Role Overview</strong><br>You will take ownership of development across our web applications and SaaS products. This&nbsp;includes building new features, reviewing and improving existing code, managing technical&nbsp;projects, and ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with our long-term vision.&nbsp;You will work closely with leadership and non-technical team members, so strong&nbsp;communication and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear direction is essential.<br><br></p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities<br></strong><br><em>Development &amp; Code Ownership</em><br>● Build, test, and deploy features for our SaaS web applications<br>● Read, analyze, and improve existing codebases<br>● Ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability<br>● Identify and fix vulnerabilities, inefficiencies, and poor architecture<br>● Establish and enforce development best practices and standards</p> <p><em>Technical Strategy &amp; Architecture</em><br>● Design systems and features with long-term scalability in mind<br>● Make decisions on frameworks, tools, and structure<br>● Evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy and quality before implementation<br>● Optimize performance and system reliability<br><br><em>Project Management</em><br>● Own development timelines and deliverables<br>● Break down projects into clear tasks and milestones<br>● Collaborate with internal team members (marketing, ops, leadership)<br>● Ensure projects move forward proactively without constant oversight<br><br><em>AI-Enhanced Development</em><br>● Use tools like Claude and Abacus to accelerate development where appropriate<br>● Prompt effectively and refine outputs<br>● Validate and improve AI-generated code (not blindly trust it)<br><br><em>Deployment &amp; DevOps</em><br>● Manage code through GitHub workflows<br>● Deploy and maintain applications via Vercel (or similar platforms)<br>● Handle integrations, APIs, and third-party tools<br>● Troubleshoot bugs, outages, and performance issues<br><br><strong>Who You Are</strong><br>● A true developer first — you understand code deeply, not just tools<br>● Experienced enough to recognise bad code, security risks, and poor structure&nbsp;immediately<br>● Comfortable working in fast-moving environments with evolving products<br>● Highly proactive — you don’t wait to be told what to do<br>● Strong communicator with excellent English (written and verbal)<br>● Organised and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously<br><br><strong>Required Experience</strong><br>● 5+ years of hands-on development experience<br>● Proven ability to work within and improve existing codebases<br>● Experience building and maintaining web applications or SaaS products<br>● Strong understanding of:<br>○ Frontend and/or full-stack development<br>○ APIs and integrations<br>○ GitHub workflows<br>○ Deployment platforms (Vercel preferred)<br>● Experience reviewing code for quality, security, and scalability<br><br><strong>This Role Is NOT For You If...</strong><br>● You rely entirely on AI to write and understand code<br>● You struggle to explain technical concepts clearly<br>● You need constant direction or supervision<br>● You prioritise speed over quality and long-term structure<br><br></p>
