In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make meaningful impact in a collaborative environment and apply your technical expertise to build and scale our highly available distributed SaaS platform used by millions of K-12 students every month worldwide.</p> <p><strong>In this role as a Dev Ops Engineer II, you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Contribute to infrastructure-as-code initiatives using CloudFormation and Terraform</li> <li>Develop and maintain data pipelines</li> <li>Design, build, and maintain containerized applications</li> <li>Build and improve developer tooling to enhance team productivity</li> <li>Work with event-driven systems like Kafka or Kinesis</li> <li>Explore and integrate AI tooling into platform workflows</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve infrastructure and platform needs</li> <li>Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure prompt resoultion of any customer-facing incidents</li> <li>Support CI/CD pipelines which ensure the prompt release of high quality software</li> </ul> <p><strong>For this role as a Dev Ops Engineer II, you must have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>4 years of experience in software development</li> <li>Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure</li> <li>Experience building or working with containerized applications</li> <li>Familiarity with data pipeline development and maintenance</li> <li>Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform</li> <li>Experience with developer tooling and automation</li> <li>Strong knowledge of a scripting language such as Python, shell, etc</li> <li>Interest in or experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, Kinesis, or similar)</li> <li>Strong self-starter mentality with demonstrated experience tackling open-ended challenges and rapidly ramping up on new systems</li> <li>Comfortable with uncertainty; able to independently define approach, identify dependencies, and drive work to completion without detailed specifications</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus Points:</strong></p> <ul> <li>BS in Information Systems or Computer Science, related field experience, or both</li> <li>Experience with AI tooling and integration</li> <li>Interest or experience in functional programming languages such as Haskell, Scala, Clojure, etc</li> <li>Experience writing deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions</li> <li>Experience with logging and reporting systems (Datadog, New Relic, etc)</li> <li>Outstanding written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Growth mindset with eagerness to learn new technologies, tools, and platforms as needed</li> </ul> </div> <div class="wysiwyg"> <p>All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #LI-Remote</p> </div> </section> </div> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><strong>The below compensation range is based on national market data and may vary by experience and location.&nbsp;</strong></p></div><div class="title">Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$82,200</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$102,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>Benefits for eligible US employees include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>World Class Health Benefits: Medical, Prescription, Dental, Vision, Telehealth</li> <li>Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts</li> <li>401(k) and Roth 401(k) with company match</li> <li>Paid Vacation and Sick Time Off</li> <li>12&nbsp;Paid Holidays</li> <li>Parental Leave (20 total weeks with 14 weeks paid) &amp; Milk Stork program</li> <li>Tuition Reimbursement</li> <li>Life &amp; Disability Insurance</li> <li>Well-being and Employee Assistance Programs</li> </ul> <div><strong><em>Benefits listed apply to eligible U.S. employees in accordance with Renaissance’s benefits eligibility criteria.
