Reporting to the Engineering Manager and partnering closely with our AI and Infrastructure teams, the Senior DevOps Engineer I will own the evolution of our automation tooling and the reliability of our multi-cloud infrastructure.&nbsp;</p> <p>Please note that this is a <strong>hybrid role based in Seattle</strong>, with an expectation to be in the office 2–3 days per week. Candidates must be based in the Seattle metro area or able to relocate independently within 90 days of their start date. Occasional travel will be required for team on-sites.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Contribute to the DevOps team on-call rotation and internal tooling development to ensure platform stability.</li> <li>Partner with AI teams to build out scalable infrastructure leveraging team best practices for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).</li> <li>Create and iteratively improve automation tooling centered around established team standards for IaC.</li> <li>Participate in design consultations for the AI team to architect infrastructure for new services.</li> <li>Act as a subject matter expert for infrastructure reliability and deployment patterns.</li> <li>Collaborate across Engineering to identify bottlenecks in the developer experience and provide automated solutions.</li> <li>Ensure infrastructure built out is production ready according to best practices around telemetry and observability as well as reliability</li> </ul> <p><strong>What success looks like in this role</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain 99.9% infrastructure uptime through the design and construction of highly available and reliable systems.</li> <li>Reduce DevOps operational toil by implementing robust tooling and self-correcting automation.</li> <li>Increase the self-serviceability of infrastructure, empowering engineering teams to deploy and manage resources independently through automation.</li> <li>Standardize IaC patterns across AI initiatives to decrease time-to-market for new models and services.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you’ll bring</strong></p> <ul> <li>Expertise in building highly available and reliable systems within AWS.</li> <li>Working knowledge of best practices for deploying services using Azure and GCP APIs.</li> <li>Proven track record of building custom automation tooling to solve complex infrastructure challenges.</li> <li>Deep understanding of infrastructure fundamentals and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.</li> <li>Experience operating in a containerized environment (Kubernetes/EKS) is preferred.</li> <li>A proactive approach to security and compliance within cloud environments is a plus.</li> <li>Knowledgeable in telemetry and observability best practices</li> </ul> <p>The target base salary range for this position is <strong>$159,100 - $191,000</strong>&nbsp;and is part of a competitive total rewards package including equity and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
