Senior DevOps Engineer (Cloudflare)

We build what works, launch it fast, and make sure it hits.</p></div><p>We are looking for a skilled&nbsp;<strong>Senior DevOps Engineer</strong> in our office in<strong> Serbia, Belgrade.</strong></p> <p>✅ <strong>Responsibilities</strong><strong>:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Multi-CDN &amp; Edge Management:</strong> Manage and optimize Edge Services across multiple providers, including <strong>Cloudflare, Fastly, and Gcore</strong>. This includes configuring DNS, CDN, Edge Computing (Snippets/Workers), Access Control, and WAF policies.</li> <li><strong>Provider-Agnostic Resilience:</strong> Design and implement <strong>cloud-agnostic failover strategies</strong> and high-availability solutions to ensure service continuity, preventing vendor lock-in and dependency on a single provider.</li> <li><strong>Traffic &amp; Performance Engineering:</strong> Monitor and fine-tune HTTP traffic handling, global load balancing (GSLB), and caching strategies to minimize latency and optimize content delivery at a global scale.</li> <li><strong>Mass Domain &amp; SSL Management:</strong> Orchestrate configurations for a large-scale domain portfolio, including automated SSL/TLS provisioning and unified security policy enforcement across different platforms.</li> <li><strong>Advanced Infrastructure as Code (IaC):</strong> Maintain reusable and scalable configurations using <strong>Terraform</strong> or OpenTofu to manage diverse provider environments, ensuring infrastructure is auditable and consistent.</li> <li><strong>Security &amp; Web Protection:</strong> Collaborate with security teams to implement robust Rate Limiting, DDoS mitigation, and Bot Management across the network and application layers.</li> <li><strong>Observability &amp; Incident Response:</strong> Participate in on-call rotations, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and tune performance for both edge and application layers using centralized monitoring tools.</li> <li><strong>CI/CD &amp; Automation:</strong> Integrate edge configuration changes into <strong>CI/CD pipelines</strong>, automating deployments and ensuring rigorous testing of infrastructure changes.</li> </ul> <p><br>✅ <strong>Must Have:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>2+ years</strong> in DevOps, Site Reliability, or related roles with a <strong>focus on Cloudflare</strong> services.</li> <li>Solid understanding of <strong>HTTP protocol, caching principles, and CDN concepts</strong>.</li> <li>Experience managing <strong>Cloudflare DNS, Firewall Rules, Page Rules, Workers, and related services</strong>.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of <strong>Nginx (or similar: Envoy, HAProxy)</strong> for reverse proxy and load balancing.</li> <li>Proficiency with <strong>Infrastructure as Code</strong> concepts and practical experience with <strong>Terraform</strong>.</li> <li>Understanding of <strong>networking fundamentals</strong> including TCP/IP, routing, and security best practices.</li> <li>Experience working with <strong>Linux environments and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)</strong>.<br><br></li> </ul> <p>✅ <strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with <strong>Cloudflare Enterprise features</strong> (Argo, advanced caching, Cloudflare Workers KV).</li> <li>Experience with <strong>performance testing and analysis tools</strong> for CDN and edge optimization.</li> <li>Familiarity with container orchestration systems (Kubernetes).</li> <li>Experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab CI, Jenkins).</li> <li>Basic security knowledge (SSL management, security headers).</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <div>✅ <strong>We offer excellent benefits, including but not limited to:</strong></div> <div>🧑🏻‍💻 Learning and development opportunities and interesting challenging tasks;</div> <div>✈️ Relocation package (tickets, staying in a hotel for 2 weeks);</div> <div>📚 Opportunity to develop language skills and partial compensation for the cost of language classes;</div> <div>🎁 Birthday celebration present;</div> <div>🏝 Time for proper rest and 23 working days of Annual Vacation;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Join BrainRocket and rock with us! 🚀</div><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Bold moves start here.
