DevOps Engineer (TS/SCI CI Clearance Required)

<p><strong>North Point Technology is seeking an experienced TS/SCI Cleared Senior DevOps Engineer with strong Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) expertise to support the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical systems. The selected engineer will play a central role in deploying microservices through a DevSecOps pipeline within a Linux-based multi-tenant environment, leveraging AWS cloud services, GitLab CI/CD, and containerized workloads to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient capabilities to the customer.</strong></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>This program requires employees to hold an active TS/SCI clearance and be a U.S. Citizen. Candidates must also be DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant (Security+ or equivalent), or able to obtain certification within 60 days of start.</strong></span></p> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">If you have a Full Scope Poly, working this program will keep your Full Scope ACTIVE.</span></strong></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support the deployment of microservices through a DevSecOps pipeline within a Linux-based multi-tenant environment</li> <li>Design, implement, and secure virtual networks within AWS, including VPC architecture and connectivity</li> <li>Diagnose and resolve VPC network connectivity issues across development and production environments</li> <li>Develop, update, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipeline code to enable rapid, reliable delivery of capabilities</li> <li>Configure, troubleshoot, and deploy Docker containers in support of microservice workloads</li> <li>Review code within Git and extract or create engineering documentation as needed</li> <li>Support developer deployments and testing activities within the environment</li> <li>Provide technical guidance to development teams across all capabilities and microservices</li> <li>Create and maintain clear, comprehensive DevOps documentation</li> <li>Conduct security remediation in response to vulnerability scans and audit findings</li> <li>Perform other related tasks as assigned to support program success</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills/Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience</li> <li>Active TS/SCI clearance</li> <li>DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent), or ability to attain certification within 60 days of start</li> <li>Proactive self-starter with a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills</li> <li>Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines</li> <li>Hands-on experience with GitLab functionality, error codes, and scripting</li> <li>Experience using AWS services and technologies (e.g., CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS)</li> <li>Experience with AWS Serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, load balancing, autoscaling)</li> <li>Strong understanding of cloud-based architectures</li> <li>Solid understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and workflows</li> <li>Understanding of custom code development and code review practices</li> <li>Experience supporting development testing</li> <li>Knowledge of software development and software sustainment practices</li> <li>Experience working with team collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Skills/Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience with GitLab CI/CD in a production setting</li> <li>Experience with AWS Lambda and AWS ECS</li> <li>Experience troubleshooting, configuring, and deploying Docker containers at scale</li> <li>AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)</li> <li>Linux certifications</li> <li>Experience with ArcGIS or other geospatial technologies</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p>North Point Technology is <strong>THE BEST </strong>place to work for curious-minded engineers motivated to support our country’s most crucial missions!&nbsp; We focus on long term projects, leveraging the latest technology in support of innovative solutions to solve our customer’s most difficult problems.</p> <p>At North Point Technology, EMPLOYEES come first!&nbsp; We value our employees by providing excellent compensation, benefits, and a flexible work-life balance.
