<p><strong>DevSecOps / Systems Engineer</strong></p> <p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p> <p>G2IT is seeking an experienced DevSecOps / Systems Engineer to support mission-critical Department of Defense initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong systems engineering experience, hands-on DevSecOps expertise, and experience deploying secure, containerized software within DoD environments.</p> <p>This role requires a technically skilled engineer who can support software deployment, infrastructure automation, container orchestration, cloud environments, and secure integration within Department of Navy networks and computing environments.</p> <p><strong>Security Clearance Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Active Top Secret/SCI clearance or TS/SCI eligibility with a completed Tier 5 investigation at the time of submission.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum five (5) years of DoD systems engineering experience.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience deploying software within the Overmatch Software Armory (OSA) or a comparable DoD DevSecOps pipeline.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience integrating containerized software into Department of Navy networks and computing environments, such as CANES.</li> <li>Experience using microservice architectures and/or service mesh technologies.</li> <li>DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification and/or intermediate proficiency baseline certification for CSWF approval, such as:</li> <ul> <li>Security+ CE</li> <li>CySA+</li> <li>Equivalent approved certification</li> </ul> <li>Strong understanding of secure software deployment, system integration, and DevSecOps best practices.</li> <li>Excellent troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support the design, deployment, integration, and sustainment of secure software solutions within DoD environments.</li> <li>Deploy and manage containerized applications across mission-focused systems and networks.</li> <li>Integrate software into Department of Navy environments using microservices and service mesh technologies.</li> <li>Support CI/CD pipeline development, optimization, and secure software delivery.</li> <li>Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational workflows.</li> <li>Administer and support Linux-based systems and cloud-based infrastructure.</li> <li>Collaborate with government, contractor, and technical teams to support Agile development and deployment efforts.</li> <li>Maintain documentation, deployment guides, technical procedures, and operational artifacts.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Technical Experience</strong></p> <p><strong>Containerization &amp; Orchestration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience implementing and managing containerized applications using Docker, Podman, and Buildah.</li> <li>Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining container orchestration platforms using Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Helm.</li> </ul> <p><strong>DevSecOps &amp; CI/CD</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience developing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, and AWS CodeBuild.</li> <li>Experience supporting secure software delivery, release management, and deployment automation.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Infrastructure as Code &amp; Automation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Linux Systems Administration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience administering and supporting Linux-based environments, including:</li> <ul> <li>Red Hat Enterprise Linux</li> <li>CentOS</li> <li>Ubuntu</li> </ul> </ul> <p><strong>Scripting &amp; Automation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience creating automation solutions and operational scripts using:</li> <ul> <li>Bash</li> <li>Python</li> <li>PowerShell</li> </ul> </ul> <p><strong>Cloud Platforms</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and applications across AWS and Azure environments.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Software Development</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience developing or supporting full-stack applications using:</li> <ul> <li>Java</li> <li>Python</li> <li>TypeScript</li> <li>React</li> <li>SQL</li> </ul> </ul> <p><strong>Agile &amp; Collaboration Tools</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience leveraging Atlassian tools, including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket, to support Agile project management, documentation, and source code control.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience supporting Department of Navy programs and operational environments.</li> <li>Familiarity with CANES or other Navy computing and network environments.</li> <li>Experience with service mesh technologies.</li> <li>Experience supporting classified or mission-critical DevSecOps environments.</li> <li>Cloud, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Terraform, or DevSecOps certifications.</li> </ul> <p><em>Salary: $180- 200k depending on experience&nbsp;</em></p>
