Diesel Mechanic

Our mission is to have a positive social and economic impact on the community by providing a safe and reliable transportation option for all who live, work, or play in Sioux Falls.</p> <p>As a <strong>Diesel </strong><strong>Mechanic</strong>&nbsp;at SAM by Via, you will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on buses, automotive equipment, and shop equipment.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Direct highly varied and complex operations related to vehicle and equipment service</li> <li>Repair and/or replace any subsystem associated with heavy, medium, and/or light duty SAM coaches and automotive equipment</li> <li>Work with other maintenance workers, drivers, and transportation supervisors</li> <li>Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who You Are:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Possess knowledge of the design, adjustment, operation, maintenance, and repair of systems and subsystems of SAM coaches and related shop equipment</li> <li>Able to work on their feet eight hours per day, lift 100 pounds, and carry parts, equipment, and supplies</li> <li>Possess excellent manual dexterity</li> <li>High school diploma or GED equivalent, including trade or vocational school.
