Digital Artist (Contract)

<h2><strong>Be a Crucial Member of a Growing and Innovative Art Team</strong></h2> <p>Fresh Prints is a New York-based custom apparel startup. We work with incredible students across the US and support them in building apparel businesses at their schools.</p> <p><strong>IMPORTANT: </strong><em>This role is a <span style="text-decoration: underline;">3-month contractual setup,</span> &nbsp;with possible extensions depending on business needs and performance.</em></p> <p>The Art Team creates mock-ups and artwork for every order at Fresh Prints. Examples of this work include:</p> <ul> <li>Vectorizing client-provided artwork</li> <li>Placing logos and designs onto apparel templates</li> <li>Recreating low-quality artwork into production-ready files</li> <li>Preparing clean, upload-ready assets for production use</li> <li style="font-weight: bold;"><strong>Direct communication with client via emails</strong></li> </ul> <p>The Art Team is one of Fresh Prints' biggest strengths. We're responsible for ensuring designs are delivered quickly, accurately, and to a high-quality standard.</p> <p>At Fresh Prints, we provide ongoing design mentorship, technical workshops, QA support, and opportunities to explore original artwork and design trends. <strong>A successful Fresh Prints artist enjoys designing, problem-solving, pays close attention to details, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where learning and adaptability matter.</strong></p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Upload mock-ups and artwork as quickly and accurately as possible while maintaining strong quality standards.</li> <li>Ensure artwork matches client requests, manager instructions, and production requirements.</li> <li>Interpret and follow complex instructions with strong attention to detail.</li> <li>Recreate and clean low-quality artwork into production-ready vector files.</li> <li>Maintain strong QA awareness by reviewing artwork for technical, aesthetic, and instruction-related issues before upload.</li> <li>Communicate clearly with Campus Managers and internal teams regarding revisions, concerns, recommendations, or clarification questions.</li> <li>Use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop efficiently in a production-based environment.</li> <li>Utilize AI-assisted workflows and tools responsibly to improve presentation quality, workflow efficiency, and design support when applicable.</li> <li>Complete a set number of deliverables per day while balancing speed, quality, and accuracy.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personal Attributes</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: bold;"><strong>Excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluency in English&nbsp;</strong></li> <li>Reliable, responsive, and able to manage time effectively in a remote setup</li> <li>Comfortable asking questions and clarifying unclear requests</li> <li>Receptive to feedback and open to continuous improvement</li> <li>Able to balance speed and efficiency without compromising quality</li> <li>Strong instruction comprehension and attention to detail</li> </ul> <p><strong>Technical Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop</li> <li>Experience creating and editing vector graphics, including from low-resolution source material</li> <li>Ability to recreate artwork accurately using the Pen Tool and/or drawing tablets</li> <li>A well-functioning computer capable of handling design workloads and a strong and stable internet and power connection</li> <li>Familiarity with AI-assisted creative tools and workflows is a plus</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation &amp; Benefits</strong></p> <ul> <li>Monthly salary ranges <strong>from $400 to $600 + night shift allowance</strong>, depending on schedule and responsibilities</li> <li>We cover the cost of your Adobe Illustrator license</li> <li>A fast-paced environment with lots of room for growth and long-term career opportunities</li> <li>Access to training, mentorship, workshops, and collaborative learning opportunities</li> </ul> <p><strong>Details</strong></p> <ul> <li>This is a remote "work-from-home" position</li> <li>Work hours: <strong>7 PM to 5</strong> <strong>AM Manila Time, Monday to Friday</strong></li> <li>Start date is TBA (currently pooling candidates)</li> <li><strong>3-month contractual setup,</strong> with possible extensions depending on business needs and performance</li> </ul> <p>At Fresh Prints, we deeply value the long-term contributions of our team.
