Associate Director, Authorization Services Operations

<p>We're hiring an Associate Director, Authorization Services Operations to join our Insurance Operations team.</p> <p><strong>About the role:</strong></p> <p>You will drive the program governance and KPI/operational metrics setting and reporting for the Authorization Services Team.&nbsp; Additionally, you will support the strategy and implementation of special projects and will deploy tactics that allow us to enhance our overall program value.</p> <p>You will report into the Senior Director, UM Optimization and Strategy.</p> <p><strong>Work Location:&nbsp;</strong>This position is based in our Tempe, AZ office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule.</p> <p><strong>Pay Transparency: </strong>The base pay for this role is: $162,453 - $213,220 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Accountable for operational reporting (progress against KPIs and operational metrics) and forecasting (FTEs needed) for all production teams</li> <li>Identify and monitor progress against all KPIs (leadership level) and operational metrics (more regularly monitoring - IP / OP auth/k, avg case time to resolution, cases/hr, etc.) and driving insights to feed to downstream teams</li> <li>Set, drive and implement the department strategy to enhance program's overall value including determining and uncovering new opportunities</li> <li>Identify and drive execution of cost-savings opportunities by collaborating with key departments</li> <li>Program management of important company and department strategy programs</li> <li>Continuously evaluate financial and performance metrics dashboards to drive performance improvement and create dashboards for Senior Leadership report outs</li> <li>Support the budgeting process and the fiscal performance for the team in association with the leadership team</li> <li>Guide overall program governance and accountability for producing executive leadership materials (e.g., Board, QBR, Strategic Updates, Operational Readouts)</li> <li><strong><em>Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations</em></strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Other duties as assigned</strong></p> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>7+ years experience in healthcare strategy and operations, and/or related field</li> <li>4+ years of experience managing individual contributors</li> <li>3+ years project planning experience</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus points:</strong></p> <ul> <li><em>Master's degree </em></li> <li><em>Utilization Management experience </em></li> <li>Management Consulting experience with a focus on healthcare</li> <li>Experience in leading large-scale cross functional initiatives</li> <li>Experience with Excel and financial modeling experience</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an authentic Oscar Health job opportunity.
