About the role
We are recruiting a Director in London to support the growth of our Commodity Technology and Innovation practice. The role focuses on advising clients across global commodity and energy markets as they accelerate digital transformation and modernise trading and risk technology.
Responsibilities:
Sales Activities
- Arrange, attend and deliver pitches and meetings with clients
- Build and maintain key client stakeholder relationships to ensure repeat business
- Support Portfolio Director identifying and converting leads within targeted development clients
- Meet quarterly targets in line with incentive plan
- Delegate and support associates to deliver mandates as appropriate
- Deal with speculative calls, aftercare and service calls
- Manage and guide client-side stakeholders through the HC process, either directly or supporting associates, to successfully conclude mandates
- Client visits – new and existing clients – identify and follow up business leads
- Identify and pitch the most relevant service offering for the client’s needs
- Write proposal documents and tenders, negotiate fees and rates in line with the HC strategy
Clients
- Build and develop long term relationships with existing clients
- Develop a good understanding of client companies, what they do and their work culture and environment
- Serve clients, identify their needs and provide feedback on success of filling jobs
- Qualify job specification / salary information and record accurate and comprehensive job description
- Organise interviews as requested by client
- Provide advice on pay rates and career progression
- Network internally and externally with clients
- Benchmark for clients – salary, availability, candidate pool, industry activity
Candidates
- Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates
- Candidate control – keep in regular contact to review progress and performance
- Complete a search of the CRM, HC network, LinkedIn and other relevant sources (including referrals) to find the right person for the mandate
- Pre-screen candidates for suitability and conduct interviews
- Review CVs / market placeable candidates, search / shortlist CVs in line with the mandates you are handling and ensure CVs are of a specific standard and reflective of client requests
- Provide information to candidates on clients and job specifications
- Negotiate pay and salary rates and finalise arrangements between client and candidates
- Provide advice on pay rates and career progression
- Manage resignation process
- Network internally and externally with existing and potential candidates
