Our focus is on harnessing disruptive innovation to unlock economic and social value enabled by technology.</p> <p>We are growing quickly, and we are looking to recruit strong and highly motivated people to join us on this audacious mission.</p> <p><strong>Your objectives</strong></p> <ul> <li>Recruit, inspire, lead, and mentor a team of the strongest Data engineers</li> <li>Use data engineering to support material impact and drive disruptive transformation across public and private sectors</li> <li>Build a world-class team with expert capabilities in data engineering</li> <li>Lead delivery of data engineering solutions through incubation, proofs-of-concept, to commercialisation and deployment</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Key Roles &amp; Responsibilities:</u></strong></p> <p><strong>1. Define Commercial Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Accountable for the P&amp;L of the Data practice, including managing project financials, monitoring revenue and costs, and maintaining a healthy pipeline of new business to meet quarterly or annual targets.</li> <li>Develop and execute strategic plans for sustainable growth and revenue expansion.</li> </ul> <p><strong>2. Specify Operational Metrics</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage team utilization and forecast resource requirements to ensure efficient deployment of talent.</li> <li>Optimize operational workflows and team productivity to support current and future project needs.</li> </ul> <p><strong>3. Emphasize Cross-Functional Integration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with strategy, design, architecture, and other teams to create integrated, end-to-end digital transformation solutions.</li> <li>Ensure AI initiatives are aligned with broader business objectives and technological ecosystems.</li> </ul> <p><strong>4. Quantify Success</strong></p> <ul> <li>Establish KPIs such as revenue growth, project profitability, team utilization rates, client satisfaction scores, and employee retention.</li> <li>Regularly monitor and report on these metrics to measure success and inform strategic decisions.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in consulting/ data science related functions with with at least 3 years of leadership / people management experience</li> <li>Data Development: Deep expertise in developing and managing software for data processing: Python, Java, SQL, KSQL, Scala, Spark, Flink, Beam, AWS Glue, Google Dataflow, etc.</li> <li>Data Platforms: Deep expertise in building and managing data platforms: Databricks, HBase, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, Kafka, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Redshift, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Cloud Bigtable, Firestore, BigQuery, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Stream Analytics, Synapse Analytics, DeltaLake, Elasticsearch, Snowflake etc.</li> <li>Data Management &amp; Governance: Strong skills in data management: accuracy, integrity, latency, classification, security, lineage, metadata, etc.</li> <li>Communication: Strong ability to communicate with a broad range of clients, colleagues, and partners across a variety of contexts and formats.</li> <li>Partnership: Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships amongst clients, colleagues, and partners</li> <li>Leadership: Demonstrated capability to lead, inspire, coach and mentor team members and colleagues.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em>Temus is an equal opportunities employer.
