Role summary:

 

We are looking for an ambitious individual with high energy, strong origination skills, client connect and entrepreneurial spirit to join our Commercial team in India. The individual will have a positive and friendly attitude with three primary areas of responsibilities (1) driving origination and growing Olea’ client base; (2) developing client value proposition in the space of supply chain finance (“SCF”) and receivables finance (“RF”); (3) leading end-to-end execution

 

Responsibilities:



  • Driving origination and growing Olea’ client base:
    • Lead direct origination by engaging with prospect clients for Buyer led program (Import financing) and Suppler led program (Export receivables factoring)
    • Onboard new clients / relationships and manage client relationship thereafter.
    • Originate, Develop and manage third party digital platforms and other partners for origination or new clients / relationships.
    • Work with Trade Bodies across industries / cities – to develop strategic tie ups and originate new clients.
    • Meet Olea’ KPIs w.r.t Originators which – sales velocity, new clients, throughput and revenue target



  • Developing client value proposition
    • Lead the exploration and development of business initiatives based on market opportunities and lead the assessment of the business case internally.
    • Collaborate with internal teams such as Digital Solutions, Risk & Compliance, Data & Technology, and others to build the proposition.
    • Contribute to Olea’s overall origination strategy and identify new partners to strengthen the ecosystem.

 

  • Leading end-to-end execution
  • Lead all aspects of deal execution from structuring, commercial negotiation, and legal documentation to tech or operational setup, etc.
  • Develop the investment thesis and work closely with Distribution team to pitch the same to the investors for the programme.

  • Works collaboratively with product, operations, legal, compliance, and risk teams to deliver seamless client solutions.
  • Ensures strict compliance with regulatory guidelines, internal policies, governance frameworks, and audit requirements.
  • Always maintains confidentiality and data security of customer and Olea information.
  • Builds and nurtures long-term, trust-based relationships, positioning the Olea as a trusted financial partner to corporate clients.

 

Role specific technical competencies: 



  • Strong client connect at CXO level, which will help in originating new clients
  • Access to Middle Market and Large Corporates clients (clients with topline range of $200mn to $2bn) in North India / West India / South India.
  • Understanding and experience of all aspects of cross border open account trade finance in the context of India.
  • Knowledge of SCF and RF products and related risks, including but not limited to credit risk, fraud risk, FCC risk, legal risks and etc.
  • Experience of working with digital supply chain finance platforms or ERP/ SaaS providers is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skill
  • Ability to handle and scale up strategic partnerships / alliances
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (e.g., excel, word, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in English and applicable local language (depending on location) is a must.

 

Qualifications (training, licences, memberships and certifications):



  • Master’s degree
  • 10 to 12 years of experience in Sales and Business Development in Corporate Banking domain
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good team-player, but also able to work independently and make logical decisions
