Associate Director/Director, Strategic Events

<p><strong>Your Impact at LILA</strong></p> <p>The <strong>Associate Director/Director, Strategic Events</strong>&nbsp;will build and lead Lila’s global external events function. You will own a portfolio of high‑impact programs—flagship Lila events, executive summits, investor and partner gatherings, policy convenings, and key third‑party conferences—that drive <strong>pipeline, relationships, talent, and brand</strong>.</p> <p>This is not a logistics planner role. You own the <strong>“why” and “how”</strong> of events: which audiences we prioritize, what we say, and how each moment advances Lila’s goals with:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Investors</strong> – understanding our platform, business model, and roadmap</li> <li><strong>Commercial partners &amp; customers</strong> – seeing AISF capabilities and use cases, ssi milestones and team capabilities</li> <li><strong>Policymakers</strong> – building trust in SSI, safety, and responsible deployment</li> <li><strong>AI &amp; science talent</strong> – experiencing our mission, culture, and technical ambition. *NOTE: Events driving talent acquisition are a key priority in 2026. Experience with organizing engaging events for technical audiences is a plus.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You'll Be Building</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop a <strong>12–18 month strategic events roadmap</strong> aligned with company priorities and GTM motions (e.g., SLAS, JPM, NVIDIA GTC, Lila‑hosted summits, hackathons).</li> <li>Define clear objectives and KPIs for each event (pipeline and revenue influence, investor and partner meetings, policy relationships, talent leads, brand reach).</li> <li>Own <strong>strategy and execution</strong> for flagship and executive‑level events, including programming, formats, and audience journeys tailored for investors, partners/customers, policymakers, and technical talent.</li> <li>Lead <strong>cross‑functional planning</strong> with MarCom, Commercial, BizOps, Federal/Policy, Talent, and Science/AI/Robotics teams to ensure events are fully integrated with product, PR, content, and recruiting.</li> <li>Manage <strong>budgets, agencies, and vendors</strong>, including sponsorships and production partners, with clear forecasting and ROI tracking.</li> <li>Design <strong>immersive experiences and demos</strong> that bring Lila’s AI platform, AI science factories and scientific breakthroughs to life for different audiences.</li> <li>Build scalable <strong>playbooks and processes</strong> so future regional and functional teams can execute consistent, high‑quality events.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You’ll Need to Succeed</strong></p> <ul> <li>10–15+ years in strategic events, event marketing, or experiential marketing, ideally in B2B tech, life sciences, or AI.</li> <li>Proven track record owning a <strong>global events portfolio</strong> that serves multiple senior audiences (talent acquisition, investors, enterprise customers/partners, policymakers, technical communities).</li> <li>Strong <strong>program management</strong> skills and comfort operating in a fast‑moving, highly cross‑functional environment.</li> <li>Ability to define and track <strong>event ROI</strong>, working with CRM and marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce or equivalents).</li> <li>Excellent <strong>storytelling and communication</strong>, with the range to speak credibly to investors, scientists, engineers, policymakers, and candidates.</li> <li>Experience managing vendors and influencing C‑suite leaders.</li> <li>Willingness to <strong>travel 25–40%</strong> for events and on‑site execution.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><strong>Compensation</strong></p> <p>We offer competitive base compensation with bonus potential and generous early-stage equity.
