About the role
Role Responsibilities
1.Plans, organises, directs and monitors the execution of the work of the Legal Operations Division including Human Resources, Finance, ClientServices, Records & Information Management, Technology and Facilities while consistently creating a culture of growth, development,collaboration and accountability.
2.Lead the implementation of financial management systems and procedures to ensure a proper and effective system of internal control.
3.Provide oversight to the strategic planning, operational planning and the performance management processes within the Chambers to includeleadership, supervision and direction of the mid-level management team in their departments within the Government of the Virgin Islands.
4.Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Human Resources (HR) strategy to support the HR needs of the Chambersincluding the management of consultants and external counsel.
5.Provide oversight and guidance to the information governance programme to include physical and electronic files.
6.Support the promotion of the use of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as an agent to transform and modernise theoperations of the Chambers and deliver responsive service including maintaining a long-term technology road map and researching andallocating budget funding for legal technology software and tools.
7.Ensure seamless access to legal and departmental knowledge through the organisation and centralisation of key templates, policies,processes, memoranda and other learning.
8.Oversee the development of an effective communication and public relation strategy for the Chambers.
9.Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of an appropriate mechanism to ensure effective usage and control of resourcesincluding collection and analysis of relevant data from department tools and industry sources and providing metrics and dashboards to driveefficiencies and optimise spending.
10.assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of emergency and disaster management procedures for protection of staff andproperty.
11.Ensure that the physical facilities and assets of the Chambers are maintained and managed effectively, so that work is conducted in a secure,comfortable and functional environment.
12.Perform any other duties as required by the Attorney General in order to contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of the Chambers.
