About the role
Job Responsibilities
- To cover transactions in South & South East Asia (SSEA) region, corporate and structured loans
- To lead origination, ideation, structuring and execution of transactions in responsible markets
- To develop close working relationships with front office, including RMs and with internal product partners, to increase cross-sell and collaboration in marketing for deals.
- To enhance presence and league table status of SMBC’s syndication franchise.
- To work closely with risk, credit, legal, and external investors to ensure smooth execution and successful syndication of transactions.
- To act as mentor to junior staff on the team
Job Requirement
- University degree required; MBA in Finance / chartered accountant / chartered financial analyst with 10-12 years of relevant experience in loan syndications, structured finance, investment banking, credit analysis, or related functions.
- Strong understanding of loan documentation, credit structuring, and syndication market practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and preparing investor materials.
- Ability to lead, work independently & collaboratively across internal teams & external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining attention to details & meeting tight timelines.
- Client-oriented with the ability and maturity to deal with a diverse clientele
- Highly motivated, independent and a strong team player
