Director of Engineering – Shopify & ERP (NetSuite)

This role will drive engineering excellence across Shopify and NetSuite ecosystems, ensuring scalable, reliable, and business-focused solutions that support growth and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical leadership, hands-on architecture experience, and a proven ability to partner with business and cross-functional teams.</div> <div class="x_elementToProof" data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">&nbsp;</div> <div class="x_elementToProof"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></div> <ul data-start="851" data-end="1913"> <li>Lead and own the engineering strategy, roadmap, and execution across&nbsp;<strong>Shopify and NetSuite platforms</strong></li> <li>Drive architecture and implementation of scalable eCommerce and ERP solutions, integrations, and platform enhancements</li> <li>Partner closely with Product, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technology solutions</li> <li>Lead engineering teams through system modernization, platform optimization, and digital transformation initiatives</li> <li>Oversee integrations between Shopify, NetSuite, middleware, payment systems, OMS, WMS, and third-party platforms</li> <li>Ensure platform performance, scalability, reliability, security, and data integrity</li> <li>Establish engineering best practices, SDLC processes, technical standards, and governance frameworks</li> <li>Mentor and lead engineering teams while fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and collaboration</li> <li>Manage vendor relationships, implementation partners, and external technology teams</li> <li>Support platform upgrades, releases, and continuous improvement initiatives</li> </ul> <div class="x_elementToProof"><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></div> <ul data-start="1944" data-end="2597"> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field</li> <li>10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in engineering leadership roles</li> <li>Strong hands-on experience with&nbsp;<strong>Shopify and NetSuite ecosystems</strong></li> <li>Experience leading enterprise-scale integrations and digital commerce platforms</li> <li>Deep understanding of APIs, middleware, system integrations, and cloud-based architectures</li> <li>Experience managing and scaling engineering teams</li> <li>Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills</li> <li>Proven experience driving engineering roadmaps and delivering business-critical technology initiatives</li> </ul> <div class="x_elementToProof"><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></div> <ul data-start="2629" data-end="2926"> <li>Experience in DTC, eCommerce, retail, or consumer products industries</li> <li>Knowledge of OMS, WMS, ERP, and payment ecosystems</li> <li>Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies</li> <li>Background leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives</li> <li>Familiarity with analytics and data-driven decision-making</li> </ul> <p></p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">California Pay Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$225,000</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$250,000 USD</span></div></div></div>
