<p><strong>Brief Overview</strong></p>
<p>The <strong>Director Sales</strong> is responsible for the sales<strong>,</strong> management and production of special events, advertisements, and maintaining the budgets. In addition, the Director Sales will execute special event contracts and letter agreements, and plan and successfully execute special events.</p>
<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p>

<li class="li1"><span class="s1">Network, research, and cold call potential clients to create new business opportunities.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Enter client information into CRM system and manage client relationships.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Create event proposals and budgets.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Collect event deposits and contract signatures once events are confirmed.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Advance event details for confirmed events and serve as the primary contact for event‑related issues.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Ensure all steps are taken to guarantee successful event execution.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Collect vendor quotes and finalized contracts.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Be onsite during event days to manage execution and supervise vendors and staff.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Train and manage special event staff, including vendor partners for catering, bar service, security, and other applicable service partners.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Ensure special events staff adhere to company policies regarding rentals and event execution.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Provide guidance or recommendations on issues that arise during the event process.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Follow up with clients to ensure events meet expectations and place holds for future or recurring dates.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Respond to date challenges and update the calendar system to reflect new holds or release unneeded holds.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Promote upcoming events and venue availability to potential, existing, and past clients.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Respond to inquiries regarding availability, pricing, and locations.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Negotiate deal terms and pricing.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Prepare contracts and letter agreements once proposals are accepted.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Initiate creation of invoices and new customer setup.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Submit budgets and change orders.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Create competitive pricing models to maximize venue revenue.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Track sales and develop plans to reach annual goals.</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Complete monthly forecasts updated to reflect new and existing contracts.</span></li>
<li class="li3"><span class="s1">Develop strategic collateral materials, online marketing, and other tools to generate activity</span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p>

<li class="li1"><span class="s1">Computer savvy and proficient in MS Office Professional Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)</span></li>

<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Extensive sales experience with the ability to create and foster strong client relationships</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Exceptional customer service skills</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Management experience</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Strong organization, project management, and decision‑making skills</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays</span></li>
<li class="li3"><span class="s1">Previous experience in event planning and execution, with the ability to manage and delegate tasks</span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul class="ul1">
<li class="li1"><span class="s1">BA/BS degree (4‑year) required</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Advanced degree preferred</span></li>
<li class="li3"><span class="s1">Advanced degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred</span></li>
<li class="li1"><span class="s1">6–8 years of related work experience</span></li>
<li class="li2"><span class="s1">Prior experience working in music venues preferred</span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Payscale: $80,000.00- $85,000.00</strong></p>
<p><strong>Bonus:</strong><em>This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.</em></p>
