Sr. Director, Tax Accounting & Reporting

<p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Overview:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Sr. Director, Tax Accounting &amp; Reporting to lead the income tax provision and reporting process. This role will oversee quarterly and annual tax provision work under ASC 740, support SEC reporting requirements, drive process improvements, and partner cross-functionally across the business.&nbsp;</p> <p>The ideal candidate is a former Big 4 Senior Manager or above level with strong tax accounting experience who has transitioned into industry.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><br>Why Join Us / What You’ll Impact</strong><strong>:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Own a highly visible tax accounting and reporting function.&nbsp;</li> <li>Partner with cross-functional stakeholders on tax-related matters.&nbsp;</li> <li>Support process improvement, efficiency, and audit readiness initiatives.&nbsp;</li> <li>Contribute to tax reporting activities in a growing global business environment.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong><br>Key Responsibilities:</strong> <br><br><strong>Tax Provision &amp; Reporting</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Lead the quarterly and annual income tax provision process (ASC 740), including:&nbsp;&nbsp; <ul> <li>Review and validate inputs driving the tax provision, including permanent differences and ETR drivers&nbsp;</li> <li>Current and deferred tax calculations&nbsp;</li> <li>Tax footnote disclosures for 10-K / 10-Q filings&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensure all legal entities are reflected appropriately in the provision process&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Apply strong technical knowledge of international tax matters and related reporting considerations&nbsp;</li> <li>Evaluate relevant tax positions, reporting considerations, and related tax implications&nbsp;</li> </ul> </li> <li>Review provision-to-return analysis and reconciliation&nbsp;</li> <li>Co-source with external firm on US corporate income taxes filing&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead the tax forecasting process to support the EPS and cash flow guidance&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Process Improvement &amp; Systems</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Drive automation and efficiency in tax provision processes (e.g., OneSource, Vertex, or similar tools)&nbsp;</li> <li>Reduce external tax review time as a result of standardized workpapers, footnotes and reconciliations.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Support initiatives to improve close timelines and audit readiness&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Audit &amp; Compliance Coordination</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Lead responses to external auditor inquiries on complex tax matters and maintain a strong working relationship with external auditors&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead technical tax research and documentation for complex Federal and State income tax matters, including analysis of new legislation, regulatory changes, and accounting pronouncements impacting tax positions and deferred tax balances&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Leadership &amp; Business Partnership</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and mentor tax team members, fostering technical development and accountability&nbsp;</li> <li>Partner closely with Accounting, FP&amp;A, Legal, Treasury, and other cross-functional stakeholders on tax-related matters&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong><br>Qualifications:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA required&nbsp;</li> <li>10+ years of relevant experience, including:&nbsp;&nbsp; <ul> <li>Big 4 experience (Senior Manager level or above)&nbsp;</li> <li>Industry experience leading tax provision end-to-end for a public multinational company&nbsp;</li> </ul> </li> <li>Strong technical expertise in ASC 740 / income tax accounting and SEC reporting&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with tax provision software (e.g., OneSource, Vertex, TaxStream)&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with tax forecasting process&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Effective communication with external and internal auditors, as well as cross-functional stakeholders&nbsp;</li> <li>Comfortable balancing technical depth with operational execution&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to manage complex, multi-entity tax environments&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling global organization&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><span data-ccp-props="{}">The Salary Range for this role is <span data-teams="true">$190,000 - $220,000</span>.
