About the role
A Carter Lumber Door Shop Assembly Worker is responsible for fulfilling special orders as requested in a timely and accurate manner. This is accomplished by producing needed materials, calculating measurements and assembling the product to the customer’s specification. Adheres to safety regulations when handling material and equipment. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.
- Previous experience in a millwork environment is preferred, but willing to train
- Knowledge of tools preferred; General carpentry skills are a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Possess strong mathematic skills to calculate measurements
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Work on a Door Assembly line to manufacture and assemble interior Prehung doors
- Utilize air nail guns, staplers and other tools needed to assemble doors
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs
- Pick and pull production material as needed
- Ability to read a tape measure preferred
