We are about Building Energy Performance.</p></div><p><strong>Summary/Primary Role:</strong></p>
<p>This role will be assisting with the drilling operations for geothermal energy projects. You will work closely with the Lead Driller and other team members to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the drilling equipment, perform routine maintenance, and contribute to the overall success of our geothermal drilling efforts.</p>
<p><strong>Principal Duties & Responsibilities:</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Assist the Lead Driller in daily drilling operations, including setting up and operating drilling equipment.</li>
<li>Monitor and maintain equipment during the drilling process, ensuring it is functioning properly and troubleshooting when necessary.</li>
<li>100% travel required in the greater Northeast Region of the United States - CT, MA, NY, ME, VT, NH, NJ, MD</li>
<li>Handle and prepare drilling tools, pipes, and other equipment for use during operations.</li>
<li>Transport equipment and materials to and from the drill site as needed.</li>
<li>Follow safety protocols and ensure the worksite is organized and compliant with health and safety regulations.</li>
<li>Assist in the operation of mud systems, pressure control equipment, and other drilling-related systems.</li>
<li>Keep accurate records of daily drilling activities, including work progress, downtime, and equipment performance.</li>
<li>Support the team with general labor tasks, such as setting up rig structures, managing materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.</li>
<li>Perform routine maintenance and inspections on tools and equipment.</li>
<li>Ensure that the proper safety and environmental standards are met during all phases of drilling operations.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with the drilling team and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly.</li>
<li>All other duties and projects assigned.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma required.</li>
<li>Active CDL strongly preferred.</li>
<li>High School Diploma or GED required.</li>
<li>OSHA 30; SST card and Flagger certification strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Prior experience operating drilling equipment is a must.</li>
<li>Understands and follow utility locate law and compliance procedures, safety protocols, instructions, and quality regulations.</li>
<li>5+ years of construction and/or drilling experience (either NY, NJ, CT, MA Master Drilling license a plus); NGWA certification preferred.</li>
<li>Experience with geothermal heat pumps.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Supervisory Responsibility: </strong></p>
<p>This position has supervisory responsibility.</p>
<p><strong>Expected Hours of Work: </strong></p>
<p>An Employee must work a minimum of thirty (30) hours each week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes, however the expectations of the position will require an average of forty (40) hours with overtime required as scheduled. The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining an employee’s base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity). Brightcore also offers a comprehensive set of benefits to compliment the salary. The hourly hiring range for this position is <span data-teams="true">$37.00-$42.00</span> and there is eligibility for overtime for all hours worked over 40 hours per week.</p>

<p><strong>Travel Requirements: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Travel required 100% in the greater Northeast Region of the United States - CT, MA, NY, ME, VT, NH, NJ</li>
<li>Must be willing to be away from home Monday through Friday & scheduled Saturdays.</li>
<li>Lodging will be provided for overnight stays.</li>
</ul>
