Driver (3 Months Fixed Contract - Caymanian Only)

FLORAL DRIVER - JOB DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW

The position of Floral Delivery Driver is to deliver floral arrangements on a daily basis to Customers island-wide, as well as doing additional deliveries as required. This will include driving to and from the event locations, collection and delivery of cheques and other items as instructed by the dispatch team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be an ambassador for the company constantly - well presented, pleasant, smiling and courteous.
• Delivery of floral arrangements on a daily basis.
• Ensure all deliveries are done promptly, have orders signed, and ensure necessary paperwork is filled out and handed to the relevant personnel/ dispatch.
• Constant communication with Dispatch is essential.
• Provide a high level of confidentiality.
• Meet deadlines and work within time restrictions as indicated by the Dispatcher
• Respond to customer needs and focus on meeting or exceeding customer expectations by working with attention to detail and safety.
• Present delivers to the client in a brand-established protocol.
• Constant smiling, courteous attitude to clientele and Celebrations team.

 

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Capable of working under time restrictions, ability to understand and react to changing priorities
• Ability to lift heavy items weighing 50-70 pounds in weight
• Detail-oriented, positive attitude, and have a professional presentation and approach to work
• The ability to work well within a team and be willing to take direction
• Dependable: reporting to work as scheduled and on time
• Must have a full driving license with a minimum of Group 2 and one year of driving experience in the Cayman Islands
• Strong knowledge of street routes and major landmarks
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Ability to work and plan workload unsupervised.
• Customer service oriented.

 

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

• Must be able to frequently lift up to 70 lbs
• Work in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to work weekends, early mornings, evenings, and Public Holidays as required.
• Hours of work will vary due to the timing of events, workload, and seasonality of the business. Normal Business hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday, and normal working hours per week are 45 hours from Monday to Saturday.
• A Non-Compete Confidentiality Agreement must be signed prior to commencement of employment.
• Will be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
