About the role
Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex open source and human intelligence-led investigative assignments (including pre-transactional integrity due diligence checks and other bespoke investigations);
- Write concise and cogent reports that weave in research findings with an in-depth contextualized analysis of key issues and other pertinent findings;
- Deliver written and verbal briefings to senior management and clients on research findings;
- Prepare proposals for new business;
- Support the development of our human source network in regions of expertise; and
- Once comfortable with our house style and research methodologies, assist in training new team members and proofreading reports.
Key Requirements, Skills Knowledge & Expertise
- Fluency reading and writing English in a commercial context and at least one modern language;
- 1-6 years’ full-time post-graduate work experience in the corporate intelligence industry and/or another relevant investigative background;
- Experience using open source research tools such as LexisNexis and Factiva, as well as regional and language-specific databases and media sources;
- Ability to plan and manage multifaceted research projects from the proposal stage to delivering our work to the client;
- A working knowledge of financial, commercial and legal concepts;
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university;
- Professional proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
- A keen interest in international affairs and business, including in a particular region of expertise; Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- A proactive, can-do mindset and willingness to work outside job specifications when required;
- An ability to thrive under pressure and work to tight deadlines;
- Maintain a high level of professionalism in all areas of work;
- Respond well to development feedback.
