Early Head Start Home Visitor

Our mission is to provide hope, healing, and healthcare to everyone.</p> <p>The&nbsp; <strong>Early Head Start Home Visitor</strong> will be a caring and empathetic individual who provides direct services to low-income families in Lake County. The Home Visitor works with families, pregnant women, infants and toddlers in need of knowledge involving infant and early child development, principles of child health, safety and nutrition as well as family dynamics. This role will have clients who are Spanish speaking, so if you are bilingual, this opportunity will allow you to use your skills! If you are not Spanish speaking a translator will be provided. This person is responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Assist<span data-contrast="auto">ing&nbsp;parents in determining needs and resources and setting goals for their&nbsp;</span><span data-contrast="auto">children,</span><span data-contrast="auto">&nbsp;</span><span data-contrast="auto">work with families to establish goals and objectives with respect to family differences and building on&nbsp;</span><span data-contrast="auto">family strengths.</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240,&quot;469777462&quot;:[7200],&quot;469777927&quot;:[0],&quot;469777928&quot;:[1]}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li>Performing child and family assessments.</li> <li>Working with families in their homes in a family-centered, relationship-based approach, with an infant mental health perspective.</li> <li>Providing clients the knowledge of&nbsp;<span data-contrast="auto">infant and early</span><span data-contrast="auto">&nbsp;child development, principles of child health, safety and nutrition and family dynamics</span> as necessary.</li> <li>Building strong relationships with families and using a strengths-based perspective to deliver resources.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Position Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of a HS diploma <strong>AND</strong> <span data-contrast="auto">home-based</span><span data-contrast="auto">, Infant-Toddler&nbsp;</span><span data-contrast="auto">CDA</span><span data-contrast="auto">&nbsp;(Child Development Associate)</span><span data-contrast="auto">&nbsp;credential <strong>OR </strong>comparable credential, <strong>OR</strong> equivalent coursework as part of an </span><span data-contrast="auto">A</span><span data-contrast="auto">ssociate’s or&nbsp;</span><span data-contrast="auto">Bachelor’s degree. A Bachelor degree in Early Childhood preferred<em>.</em></span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li>Demonstrated understanding of children 0-3 yrs and families.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience using a strengths based perspective in delivering service a plus.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written skills in English and bilingual in Spanish is a plus</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to develop and build relationships with high risk/need populations.</li> <li>Must have an acceptable driving record (4 pts. or less), reliable transportation, and carry automobile insurance with minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 and property damage of $50,000.</li> </ul> <p>EOE Statement:&nbsp; We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
